Anyone Have Body Temperature Issues Since Having a Baby?

Ever since I was pregnant and since the birth of my child 2 years ago, my body temperature seems really different. I get cold and then hot and sometimes even sweat around my neck at night. I sweat of course when I am active or doing something, but I seem to get overheated easier than before. And, of course I sweated like crazy at night right after my baby was born which I know is normal. I told my doctor about the night neck sweat and she is concerned about me still doing this. She said it could be: hormones related to taking BCP, a thyroid problem and lastly, but not likely, early menopause symptoms! I was freaked out at the last one especially since I am 35 and we're talking about having a second child right now. I would like to get pregnant in the next few months. My doc. told me to go off the pill to see if it was from that because she said as we age, we do sometimes need a different level of estrogen and that I might need to go on a different BCP. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Needless to say, I've been worrying about it.

What can I do next?

I am the opposite. Since having my daughter, I am cold all the time. I am/was perimenopausal since 20, so I know what the hot flashes feel like. I don't seem to get them anymore, probably because I'm regulated on BCP and the estrogen. Good luck getting it taken care of, I know it's not any fun!!

Have your thyroid checked just in case. Or it could just be female hormones. Good luck.

Since having my son (now 4 years old) I have had hot flashes several times a day everyday...and I'm only 24! So, I went to see my og/gyn and he gave me a bcp with more estrogen...but it only made the hot flashes worse and I was spotting the entire month I was on them. I still have not figured out what is causing the hot flashes...but I would love to find out! Good Luck...I feel your pain!

Didn't catch if you were still breastfeeding, but it could be that.
