So What Happened?

The problem we are having is with the pedi surgery team (Hermann, Kadensky, Dammert, etc). We have Dammert and they are being hard to schedule. I want him done at some point before the afternoon b/c he can't eat all day and they are giving us a hard time about that...

WHo do you have now, if you don't mind me asking. My son had his repair by Steve Megison at Children's and we are very pleased. I would not take my child anywhere else!

Dr. Herman repaired my daughter's herniated umbilical cord and we loved him! He was very kind and very thorough. We were a little scared about our daughter having a double surgery (um. cord repair and tonsillectomy) at such a young age. She was 4 yrs. old at the time. However, his friendliness and sense of humor put our fears at ease.

My daughter's surgeon (for her feeding tube) was very nice and a great guy, not to mention talented! His name is Darrell Hermann at Medical City (but he also has a Plano office). ###-###-####

We went to Kevin Kadesky at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. If I had to go back, that is who I would see again. My son had to have a hernia repair done twice (once on each side since it happened at different times). We had the first procedure done at Dallas Childrens Hospital and the second one at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. If I had to do it again, I would do it at Presby. I didn't have anything negative at Children's, but I liked the atmosphere better at Presby. The whole procedure didn't take long at all. My son was up and around in no time.

My son was 9 months old and he had a wonderful surgeon and staff at Children's named Dr. Philip Guzzetta. It looks great and believe me it was a heinous looking elephant trunk before the operation.

I would second for Dr Hermann, he is talented and has wonderful bedside manner. I work at Medical City Childrens and I'd love to take care of your son!
