Looking for a Good Pediatric Urologist/Surgeon

My 4 year old has an adhesion that now requires surgery (thanks to my previous pediatrician). Does anyone know a good pediatric urologist or general surgeon fairly close to Plano. My current pediatrician didn't have any recommendations. :(

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

We went to Dr. Snodgrass last week..he was amazing. He offered to do the procedure right then and there which was a pleasant surprise since I figured we would just be getting a "consultation." The procedure was very quick and painless for my son (at least until the anestsia wore off).

This is the one that my pediatrician recommended. They have offices in Dallas, Plano, and Allen. The one I saw was in Allen, his name is Dr. Baseman. The phone number to set up an appointment is ###-###-####. Hope this helps.

Dr. William Strand did my son's surgery. He was wonderful. He has an office in the building next to the Medical Center of Plano. The surgery was at the Pediatric Surgery Center near Willow Bend mall. I have heard wonderful things about all of the doctors in this practice, I don't think you can go wrong there. (Dr. Ewalt & Baseman~both are highly recommended)

My son's circumsicion did not heal correctly and we had to have a part of it redone. He just had it done two weeks ago (he is twelve). It went really well. Dr. Ewalt is great and my son hardly had any pain. He operates at the Pediatric Surgery Center in Plano on Plano Parkway. I highly recommend him.

My daughter's surgeon (for a feeding tube) was Darrell Hermann as well. He was great and a really funny guy. He has an office in northwest Plano and one at Medical City. I highly recommend him!

Hi K.!
We used Dr. David Ewalt too! He is wonderful. We saw him at his Medical City office.
Good luck & God Bless,

My son had to have surgery for an undescended testicle last summer - also at the age of four.

Dr. Adam Baseman with North Texas Pediatric Urology did a wonderful job. I respect him as a surgeon, and his "bedside" manner with my son put us all at ease.

He has an office at the Medical Center of Plano.

Good luck!

You could go to the Children's Medical Center website to look for urologist. A lot of the doctors that practice at Children's also see patients at other hospitals.

My son had 2 surgeries with Dr. Warren Snodgrass. He has his main office by Children's in Dallas, but we saw him in his Plano office at Presbyterian Plano. We had the first surgery (hydrocele) done at Children's and the second (hernia) at Presby. Plano. My son did great at both places and he was up and running around the same day.
