I have used Dr. V Woolridge for the last 10 years and I do not know what I would do without her. She is a GREAT dr. and her staff is AWSOME. I am not sure if she is taking new patients but if not check one of her other partners in the office. Dr. J Watts. Dr. Woolridge has delivered all 3 of my kids and has helped me through 2 miscarriages. Oh, and she is located right in front of Medical Center of Plano.

Good Luck on your baby adventure. I too am a "bit" overweight and I go to Lewisville Medical Center and see Heather Caudell...she is a midwife and I love her!!!!!!!!! She's great with her patients and you get great care with a midwife.

I love Dr Courtney Trylovich at Presby Plano.

I have a mid-wife that is great! She does well woman check ups, along with pre-natal and post-natal care. Kathleen Mayorga, her web-site is www.bellabirths.com. She has an office in McKinney and also sees patients in Garland. I used her with my two year old and am using her with my present pregnancy. I'm sure you will love her, she is focused on the overall health of you and your baby. As a side note, I was doing the weight watcher's program when I got pregnant. I really enjoyed it and it truly does teach you a better lifestyle.

I'm pregnant now with my third baby and my OB is GREAT! Dr. Randall Burt and he is at Presby Plano. ###-###-####. He's straight forward and knows that I don't do drugs AT ALL unless absolutely necessary. I delivered my last baby with him with no epidural and only local anesthesia for the episiotomy. He's really straight up and doesn't sugar coat anything, but has the MOST pleasant bedside manner. I'm in the hospital right on monitored bedrest and all the nurses here love him - which to me, says A LOT about a doctor!

The Dr. I go to is very good his name is Dr. Helling he is located at Baylor of Garland. I am also overwieght (240) he will not jugde you because of that. I have gone to him for 9 years and he has delivered 2 of my kids. He is great. And if you have any female problems he will talk to you about it and then it is your call if you want to have any thing done. He will not pressure you. He is very honest about what is going on with your body. He is an excellent Dr.

My OB/GYN was very good, and I'm overweight. But so is she (no judgement here). I had twins, lol and she actually told me I needed to gain more. She's great, though. Her name is Dr. Jennifer Allen, she's in McKinney, though.

My doctor is at plano presby - she is a great doctor/friend! Her nurse L. is awesome! I have been seeing her for 3 years! She was very proactive in my medical care! She delivered my son in October 2007- I was overweight and 41! she saw me through clomid and then i went off- it is strange, but after I had my gall bladder taken out - i was pregnant within 2 months! So don't know if you have had problems with gall stones, etc.

MY OB/GYN is Dr. Randall Burt at Presby Plano ###-###-####). He is AWESOME, as are his nurses and the office staff. I have never once felt uncomfortable or judged, and know that I can talk to Dr. Burt about anything (and I do!!). My daughter is 4 1/2 now and at each visit somone always asks if I brought a new picture of her for them to see. If you decide to go to Dr. Burt you will not be disappointed. Good Luck!

I looked for a specific OB/GYN before i got pregnant and found one that I have been with since 1995 -- he is fabulous -- His name is Chris Riegel witl Prestonwood OB/GYN (he is a member of Prestonwoos Baptist Church) and his office is located right next to Presby Plano. Like "Ashley R", I can heartily recommend Dr. John Parker. I've had 3 kids between 2001 and 2006, and he was my doctor for each. I had a natural childbirth with each one (no painkillers, no epidural). He was supportive of that decision. As an added bonus, he has a nurse named Wendy Blumberg who is a doula, lactation consultant, and teacher of childbirth classes. Her classes inform you of all birth decisions, but she focuses primarily on natural birth techniques. It was from her guidance that I was able to have all my kids naturally. I gained too much weight with each of my pregnancies, and Dr. Parker never made me feel "weird" about that, or any other issue for that matter. He is the first OB/GYN that does not make me feel self consious. You will get grade-A, personal care at this physician's office. He delivers at Med. Center of Plano, and Wendy's birth classes happen at nearby location. His number is ###-###-####. If you choose another doctor, I still recommend Wendy's classes. I unreservedly recommend Dr Jennifer Campbell - Plano Presby ###-###-####. I think she has a heart of gold and a brilliant doctor she is!
Let’s put it this way - left to my experience with her, I would want to stay pregnant almost all my life!!! Seriously!

She personally returns all calls (I don’t know how she manages that with how popular she is too!). She partners with you through your pregnancy, she treats you like she's known you forever. I use her as my one-source resource for anything medical - she provides the best referrals!!! I even still ask her parenting questions after 5 years :)
Despite my 26 hours of labour, I felt so much at peace and delivery was a breeze! My water had broken and most doctors will put not give me that much of a chance at natural birth. Dr. Campbell respected my faith and trusted along with me that the baby will come before her deadline of 5pm for a C-section. Baby came at 8am!!! She didn’t enforce epidural either. She said she will let me have it if I decided to have it whenever I wanted it until I started to push, at which time they will pull out the epidural… I understand most docs won’t let you have it after 4cm dilation!
She is very brilliant and confident and loving. Rare combo! My mom (a 45-year experienced nurse/midwife veteran) was there through out delivery and Dr. Campbell never felt threatened. They even shared thoughts on suggestions together!!! When mom suggested something that was too old school, Dr. Campbell gently directed me to the right course of action.

Also, an added perk, she has the greatest respect with Plano Presby nurses and other doctors so that gets passed on to her patients.

Weight - ok, I have friends that share woes of how their doc made them feel fat during pregnancy for gaining 30pounds. Dr. Campbell definitely does not pat your back and tell you to eat junk BUT I gained 80 pounds and she NEVER chastised me for it! She encouraged me to eat well like she does every patient but never made me feel like the elephant I already felt like! if anything, she told me not to worry as I would loose it. she encouraged me just to focus on eating right and balanced and exercising as much as I could handle.
In my 4th month, I developed an umbilical hernia and she encouraged me to cease all exercise so we can make it through the pregnancy before having to fix the hernia. she understood that meant weight gain but helped me make the right choices.
I have lost the weight now and I am glad I had a doc who empowered me emotionally which is what I needed most at the time. I did not need someone who made me scared of each appointment because of the scale. That could have resulted either in an unhealthy pregnancy because I would focus on weight alone OR it could have resulted in bad self esteem which would have ensnared me to the weight gain and I wouldn’t have been able to loose it now.

As you can tell, I am passionate about good things when I find one. Dr. Campbell is in that category! I have nothing to gain for referring you. You don’t even have to mention my name.

If you want a male doc, Dr Garner is in the same practice and I have coworkers and friends that see him and equally rave about him. If I wasn’t with Campbell, Garner will definitely be it!

dr harper in centennial is one of the most Natural dr around for natural birth - weight can be an issue but once you are not unrealistic most dr's are ok. If you are over weight most dr would prefer to deliver you vaginally!
The shimer group in presby allen are very good and they have 2 midwives in their group. Aliza and Jeannean.
Dr rajala is good in presby allen and does not focus on weight BUT is not into the natural stuff really!

Dr. Gwen Webster and Dr. Nora Jaffe are great. When I was pregnant, their focus was never on weight. Dr. Webster told me she would let me know if it became a problem, but other than that, she wouldn't talk about it. Hi L.! I have some issues, although different they are "issues" nonetheless, and I found Dr. Barry Fleming to be just amazing with me. I had a consultation with him first to let him know of my "issues" and he took the time (quite a bit of it too) to talk and to LISTEN to me.

Hey L., I completely understand what you are saying, I to am a little overweight, as well. I live in McKinney, and I use a Dr. Robert at Craig Ranch OB/GYN. Anyways, I know it a ways from Plano but she is amazing and so supportative. I only gain 10 pounds with my pregnancy. Which is hear is atypical. My OBGYN is Dr. Eric Jacoby and he is sooooooooooo awesome. He does have a high risk practice also, so may be good. With your weight there may be a good chance of gestational diabetes (I know from 4 births) He has only been my OBGYN since I stopped having kids. But he is VERY attentive, thorough and competent. ALways makes you feel like a person and not part of some cattle call. His nurses are great and he just brought on a great nurse practitioner. I have been going to him for 6 years or so now and have been very very happy. He is in Plano near (I think its Presby Plano) Park (or Parker) and the tollway. Sorry I am realy bad with dircetions. In my 32 years (and 2 kids) I have had about 11 OBGYN's and he is by far the best. He is young and that kinda freaked me out a little but let me tell you he did my whole exam and it was over before I reaslised it had started! He is tryly amazing and supportive.

I highly recommend Dr. Carol Norton. I had two boys in less than 14 months with the help of her and her Nurse Practitioner, Cori Thomas. I reached 240 pounds at the end of the second pregnancy, and not once did they make weight more of an issue than what it had to be(for them to have been doing their jobs correctly). They are great!!!

I had 3 babies after trying with another dr. for 6 years I got pregnant and stayed pregnant with Chapman as my dr and my 1st son was due on my 7th wedding anniversary. I had 3 high risk pregnancies and they all turned out great!

Dr. Richard Kaye at Presby of Plano is awesome. I have been overweight since having my first son. He has always treated me great and will talk about weight if there is a concern with my health or I bring it up. I recommend him to all my friends!
