I have a 1 year old and want to Attend church but do not want
to put her in a nusery. My in laws church, in Ca, has a room to the side of the service seperated by glass with speakers so you can see the sermon and hear it, and feel like you are a part of the service than just watching a screen or listeng over a speaker. And you don't have to worry if your child is being noisy. Do any churches, preferably Gilbert, have that?

What can I do next?

Hi T.,
My family and I attend a Church that has just what your looking for! The name of our church is Faith Family Church in Chandler. Although, it is not located in Gilbert but close. It is in East Chandler (right by the Chandler Airport on Queen Creek Rd. C/S is Cooper).

We are a Bible based Family Church which is one of the many reasons why we love our church. The room you are speaking about is called a "Family Room" which is what we have. We moved into our new beautiful facility less than a year ago and we made sure it was built with a "Family Room" in the back that makes you definitely feel a part of the service. The church use to be in more Central Chandler and we were glad when they purchased land and built the new facility a lot closer for us since we live in Queen Creek!

I know how hard it can be to find a church we moved here from CA and attended an Awesome church there. So we had a huge bar that had to be met and we have been very happy with our choice with Faith Family. It is very Family oriented (hence the name) and we have recently started a Mom's Group (monthly park outing for Moms who have Babies/toddlers or homeschool) plus we are starting monthly Family and Married Couples Fellowship Outings. My husband and I are part of that team and just planned most of the Spring and Summer and we have some awesome things planned to promote "family" and a "healthy marriage"! So come check us out I know we will not disappoint.

Faith Family Church

(A beautiful Green Building with a neat tall water feature that streams over a cross in our front window so to speak- you have to see it kinda hard to describe. But just down the street from the Chandler Airport).

If your open to it I would love to personally "welcome" you and your family and show you around or whatever your comfortable with. Just let me know. You can e-mail me personally.

May God direct you and your family to the church that will be the "best" one for your family!

Sincerely,
A. M.

Chandler Bible Church in Chandler has that - the cry room is separated by glass windows, and there is a speaker for listening. Good luck finding a new home church!

St. Anne's Catholic Church has a large children's room separated by glass with speakers. Its on Eliot, just east of Gilbert rd. Also, Sat nights is the children's mass, where the priest calls up the kids to the altar and they are more tolerant of noise, etc.

I attend East Valley Bible Church (www.evbc.org) with my husband and 3 kids and we keep the youngest 2 with us and our 5 year old to Sunday School. We attend in the Conference Center (they also have a service at the same time in the Chapel which has a room as you described above) and sit in the lobby so our children can make noise and play and not disturb others (they are both under age 2). We actually sit inside for the music part because the sound covers their little baby noises/chatter. I also have been to The Grove Bible Church (Gilbert and Queen Creek) and they have a "cry room" too as you describe. Both churches are very child friendly. Best wishes! R., SAHM midwife mom of 3

Hi. Just wanted you to know that the LDS (Mormon) church is really all about families. We all attend the meeting with kids in tow. It can get a bit noisy at times with babies and toddlers all in the room, but the nice thing is there are LOTS of Moms and Dads with their little ones there as well. I personally think it's important to have children learn reverence early on and not just be put into a nursery to play during that time. However, there is a nursery offered after the meeting if you wish to attend Sunday School. There are church buildings just about on every corner in Gilbert if you are ever interested. :) Good luck.

T.,
I believe every church has a room like that. I go to the Alma School Road Church of Christ in Chandler. We have a room to the back of the church where mothers can go with their children. You'll be very welcome at our church. I know you wanted to go to a church in Gilbert though. Our church is based solely on the Bible, I hope you give us a chance. Our address is 445 N. Alma School Rd. ###-###-#### Thanks, N. P.
