Looking for a Not-so-conservative Church in Mesa/Gilbert

Check out Central Christian Church of the East Valley. They have a campus in Mesa & Gilbert. They have an awesome children's ministry and many volunteering opportunities. Our family has been attending this church for many years and I have always felt very welcome - the message they seem to potray is come as you are. (No need to dress up for church or pretend to be someone you are not - come just as you are). www.cccev.com

I am not sure how far you are willing to drive, but we go to Cornerstone in Chandler and LOVE it! You should check them out at cschandler.com. They are very open to all types of people and are a large church with a great childrens ministry and tons of opportunities to volunteer. They are at the Loop 202 (south) and Alma School. I have also heard good things about East Valley Bible Church, but I have never been there.

I really love our church and there is a HUGE variety of people there. Young, old, black, white, Asian etc... Plus they ALWAYS are asking for people to get involved in things inside and outside the church. It is East Valley Bible Church in Gilbert. It is a large church, however, they do everything to make it small enough to get to know other people. We have homegroups and area pastors. Services are Sunday 8:30, 10:30 4 and 6. Give it a try! Plus there are lots of things for kids from newborn through high school to do.

We attend Living Word Bible Church in Mesa (Val Vista and Brown). It's non-denominational. We absolutely love it. They are very positive and we've learned a lot especially after growing up in a religion that condemns everything you do. It's been liberating and very educational for us. They are very open and diverse and extremely accepting. They do a lot of community work and missions.

I think Desert Haven Church is awesome. It is near Guadalupe and Ellsworth. It is casual, friendly and they have childcare. I don't live in AZ anymore but Desert Haven Church is great. http://www.deserthavenchurch.com/

I second Sun Valley Community Church. It's a very young active church. We love it. My kids love it. The city of Gilbert awarded them a volunteerism award. Tons of opportunity to volunteer within the church, the community and abroad. It's a very family oriented church and they are welcoming to everyone.
