B.. If your looking for a Bible church the Church of Christ on Alma School Road across from Erie's school is a fine church.WEare a non-denominational church. We have a very good program for both adults and children. We go strictly by the Bible! It clearning states in the Bible that babies do not need to be baptized as the Lord will take care of them. Here are just a few verses to look up yourself. Matthew 18:3, Mark 10:13-15,Ezekiel 18:20, Romans 14:12. I hope you find what your seeking. Our Sunday school starts at 9:30 on Sunday morning and Church is at 10:30, hope you can come. N. P.

You should really look into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or more commonly known as Mormons. You can go to the website www.lds.org to find out more info. Missionaries will teach you further about the church if you choose. This will be one of the best and most influential decision you make in your life and your families'.

Typically, non-denominational Christian churches do not baptize babies. What they do is have a dedication, where you promise to raise your child to know Christ. When your child is old enough to make his or her own decision to follow Christ, they can choose to be baptized. So basically, the biblical principles of baptism are followed by non-denom churches. We go to Chandler Christian Church on Alma School and Germann in Chandler. Both of my children were dedicated there, and my husband and I were both baptized there as adults. I definitely encourage you to check out a non-denominational church, as they tend to focus primarily on a personal relationship with Christ and salvation by grace, rather than all of the rules imposed by religious leaders. If you have any specific questions you would like answered about non-denom churches, let me know. I'd be happy to help! God bless!

I had my son baptized at Alleluia Lutheran Church last year when he was a year old. We do not attend this church but met with Rev. Lealand Meyers several times. This church is located on Mill and University. I was pleased with the baptism, since we are not members it was a little odd for us. Alleluia has a lot of college students that attend and I felt it was rather laid back and very inviting. Good luck.

There are several great EV Christian churches. I love Central Christian. There are 2 campus's. One at Lindsay and Brown and one at Lindsay and Germain.
I too was raised Catholic and when I married I became Christian with my husband. We were both baptized then.
One difference between the Catholic and Christian faiths is that Christian churches usually do not baptize babies. The faith assumes that God is protecting them until such time that they are old enough to make the choice for themselves and are baptized.
Central Christian Church does do a Dedication around Mothers Day for children. It is more a ceremony that addresses a parents commitment to raise the child with the values of the church.
You might want to give it a try. www.cccev.com

We attend Central Christian Church on the corner of Lindsay and Germann. We do not baptize babies, but we do dedicate them on Mother's Day. We dedicate them to the Lord for his guidance and care of them and for us tohave wisdom in their rearing.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

We go to a wonderful church that I'm sure you would love to bring your baby up in. It's the Living Word Bible Church on Val Vista and Brown. You can't miss it with it's three domes!
Church services are at 8,9,11, and 1 Sundays. We also have "date night". You go to church at 6:00 and then get to go out while your children are being looked after at the church. Our Pastors are great speakers and you can catch Dr. Tom on Sunday nights on channel 13 or 14??? E.

I have been attending Superstition Springs Community Church in Gilbert, crossroads are Power and Elliot. It is a Christian, non denominational church. However, Christian churches typically do not baptize babies. We do baby dedications and your child can later be baptized when they are ready.

Most non-denominational churches won't baptize an infant - they will likely dedicate an infant (believing that salvation is an individual's choice, not the parent's). If you're looking for a great church family, I would recommend East Valley Bible Church (a large church) or Chandler Bible Church (a small church). If you're looking for a Catholic church, we like St. Timothy's. Blessings!

Hey B.,

I go to an amazing church called Superstition Springs Community Church in Higley/Gilbert...it is located on Elliot in between Higley and Power. It is a pretty big facility but we have 4 different service you can attend: Sat night @4:30, Sun mornings @9:30, 10:30 & 11:59am. We have childcare available with a very safe system, I keep my 4mo. old with me in service but we have a nursery and my 3.5yr old goes to class every week and loves it! I was actually a teacher there until I had my baby. I know that you are looking for a place to have her baptized but at our church we have children "DEDICATED" to Christ. You come to the service of your choice and stand before everyone and vow that you are going to raise your child through Christ...its really neat, they do this because they feel it is the childs decision in the long run if they want to continue being Christians and when they are ready to make that committment for themselves then they can be baptized. It is def. not as formal as a Catholic setting but I believe that it all does the same thing!

This Sunday is our Easter blow out!!! It is gonna be huge and you are more than welcome to attend but there will be lots of people. Let me know if it interests you and I would be happy to meet you at a service and show you around. And not just this Sunday but any Sunday! I was never really a church gower until I started going here...everything just makes more sense and the people are fantastic!

I LOVE Cornerstone! It is a nondenominational church in Chandler on Alma School Rd just south of the 202. It is large but they offer something for everyone. Fabulous kids programs, singles groups, men's groups, MOMS, etc. My husband and I love the Young Marrieds group (for couples married less than 10 years). The pastors are awesome speakers and I always leave with a message and an upbeat, uplifted feeling.

I would definitely recommend this church to anyone looking for a church to connect with and call home. Check it out! Easter services are supposed to be great this year so that might be a good time to try it.

I think I may have a perfect suggestion for you: Sun Valley Community Church! They are located on Ray Road just east of Gilbert Road and just moved into their beautiful new facility right next to the original building.

Our family has only been in AZ just over a year. We intended to get involved right away with a church because that is what we were used to in MI and have always done. Sun Vally was the second church we visited and we were hooked! :) I found out later that a majority of their attendants are from the Catholic church, so I think you would feel right at home there.

We have a Baptism coming up on April 13th, so you may want to visit just to attend the Baptism service, which is right after the 11 a.m. service on Sunday. I would like you to note, however, that instead of Baptizing infants, most non-Catholic churches will instead dedicate babies to the Lord until such time as they are able to make a conscious personal decision to be Baptised, understanding what it represents.

What we do instead is have a very special ceremony for our children where we didicate them to the Lord, trusting that they will one day make their own decision to be Baptised and promising that we will teach them about God as they are growing to that point (and beyone, of course).

I am sure that you can call them to discuss your interest in infant Baptism and speak with a staff member about the wonderful dedication class and ceremony they offer. We just dedicated our fifth and it was a very meaningful. I think you would agree.

Either way, I wish you the best! :) Here's a link to their site: http://www.sunvalleycc.com/

Please fel free to contact me if you would like any further information.

We attend Chandler First Church of the Nazarene. It's located off of Hartford, just north of Chandler Blvd. We're a fairly small church compared to some of the others around in that area, roughly 150 in attendance the last couple of months. The church as was built 50+ years ago, so we're going through some renovation. However, we have a wonderful pastoral family and a very warm and caring congregation. We've had quite a few new families join us recently. In regards to "baptism", we actually dedicate the little ones and then allow them to choose when they want to be truly baptized.

Here's the website if you'd like more info:

www.chandlernazarene.org

I was raised Catholic and was fairly involved, but when I began dating my husband, he brought me to the Nazarene church in Flagstaff. What I appreciate about the Nazarene denomination is that it's established, it's mission-oriented, it's bible-based, and prayer comes from the heart, not a book.

My name is L. Cox; if you decide to visit, please let me know.

Give you decision to God and he'll help you find your church home.
