My daughter is almost 2 weeks old and has had a few diaper blowouts that have left her clothes stained yellow. Any suggestions on how to get the stains out so she is able to wear her clothes more than once? Of course this only happens if she is wearing a brand new outfit, not the hand-me-downs!
I had the best luck with DREFT stain remover! I would spray it on, let it soak in detergent/water before putting it in the wash and it worked!! :-)
BF poop is really runny - if her diapers aren't holding it, try a different brand or go up a size. Usually when my son started having more blowouts was my cue to buy the next size up!
Oxiclean for baby and let it soak in and don't dry in the dryer til you are happy with the results.
Oxi Baby worked for me. It even took out old stains.
Sunlight is the best stain remover! Always worked great on my cloth diapers, especially on breastmilk poop stains. Just wash normally and hang in the sun, even a sunny window will do (but not quite as effective as direct).
Shout and Oxy Clean. When my son had a few of these, I would spray with Shout and then wash (setting a soak cycle for an hour). Sometimes, it took it out and others, another soak. This time in a dishpan with Oxy Clean. If the stain was really bad, I wet the outfit and put some of the Oxy powder straight on the stain and left it for a while. I also sprinkle a little water on the powder so it does not get hard. I still do this. My 4 yr old is a mess magnet and her clothes look like new. If you are concerned about sensitivity, just give an extra rinse.
I hung my cloth diapers out into the sun to dry... sunlight will get all the stains out! For me it even worked for set in stains (several wash/dry cycles).

Try spraying them with Shout just before you put them in the laundry. That has always worked for me.
Another vote for sunshine- the brightest of yellow stains is gone in an hour of sun. Wash in cold and then lay out in the sun. Occasionally it will leave a faint dark mark where the yellow was, but that washes out in the next wash.
I rely on Dreft Spray. I've nursed 2 kids, many blowouts and have only had two outfits ruined due to stains. I keep a bottle on the changing table and spray stains immediately, rinse first if really poopy, before putting clothes in the laundry basket. Then I keep another bottle in the laundry room and spray again right before washing. Good luck!
If you aren't opposed to the heavy artillery of laundry products, for my son's breastfed poop stains I have had great luck with Shout too (even on the preset stains which sneak past my inspections and are only caught during folding). Good luck.
Sometimes they come out... Sometimes those stains are nuclear. Nothin' but nothin' will remove them.
Bleach, blueing, oxygenizers, enzymatics, alcohols (most stain removers are alcohol based, to denature proteins and oils, and to soluble up alcohol soluble things), acids, bases... Sometimes your just up poop creek.
Its why in days gone by people preferred whites (for bleach & blueing), or darks (to hide then)... Instead of pastels & brights!
Oxyclean gets all poop out. Just rinse the outfit in the toilet - than put outfits into a rinse with oxyclean, then wash once again. I've never had any problems.
When she starts solids, you will need the Clorox Bleach Pen for any outfits that are white. C.
