Cleaning an Evenflo Triumph Carseat BASE?

Hi Moms, So kiddo wet his pants in the carseat today - his fleece sweats wicked nothing, nor did the carseat cover (now in the wash), but when I tipped the carseat forward to see where the puddle could have gone, it spilled out onto the floor. Lovely. The seat is firmly attached to the base - how do I get "in there" to clean out the urine? I've doused it Nature's Miracle for lack of a better idea - I figure I'll tip THAT forward in an hour to spill the contents and let it air-dry. My husband wants to submerge the whole thing in the...
