Severe Diaper Rash

Moms - I need your help! My son cannot wear Pampers pull-ups and when he does he breaks out into severe diaper rash and it looks awful! I have told his teachers, management, and director at his daycare that under no circumstance should my son ever wear a Pampers pull-ups. He also cannot use Desitin or AD. Help! My 12 mo. old son has a TERRIBLE case of diaper rash, and has for several weeks now. I have tried Boudreux's Butt Paste, Triple Paste, Flanders Buttocks Ointment, Desitin, Bag Balm, letting him go without a diaper to air dry, giving him Benedryl, changing his diaper hourly, and a mixture of diaper rash cream and Liquid Maalox (the pediatrian's suggestion). I got such awesome responses about the ants, I had to ask about the dog too... We have a six month old chiweenie (chiwawa & wiener dog) that has had several accidents on the carpet and piles of clothes the kids have left on the floor. I have washed and scrubbed with rug doctor ped odor remover, lysol & oxyclean. The confusing thing is that as soon as we are done with the washing part everything looks good and smells good.
