What Is Happening to My Daughter?!?!?!

Today I came home from work and my 10 year old daughter was crying. When I asked her what was wrong she showed me her hands, and they were BRIGHT red. Like a sun burn. She then showed me her inner thighs. Same thing. It's not a burn, because the red fades as it goes up her arm, it's not hot to the touch, and it's not swollen. It's some king of rash, and I gave her benadryl but it didn't go away. I sprayed first aid burn spray on it and it seemed to relieve the pain temporarily. She has not worn anything different or used any soaps or...

Excema = Allergy?

Does Excema ALWAYS mean there is an allergy? My son is 6 months old and has had bad excema since about 2 months. Under my ped's advice, I use Cortisone and Aquaphor, but it's still there. It is getting a little better but nonetheless, it's still there. I don't know if it could be a milk allergy, or dust allergy. Could he develop asthma because of this? I question my ped all the time and he just says "Awww don't worry about it. If he's eating, sleeping, and playing, then he's fine." But as a Mom I am concerned. Help Mamasource! :)

9 Year Old with Eczema

Hi! My 9 year old daughter keeps developing a big rash on her back legs. The over the counter lotions do not seem to help and tend to sting her. I do not really want to start her on a steroid cream. Any ideas? J.Clare
