4 Year Old Son with Allergies/asthma

My 4 year old son was recently diagosed with allergies associated with asthma. He gets a persistant cough this time of year and in the fall. The cough sometimes causes him to vomit. He has had allergies since he was a baby, however, the asthma part of this is new to me. I feel uneasy about it because he seems to be on lots of medication now. I Have Chronic Night Coughing Resulting in a Ton of Cavities!

For several years I have had a dry cough at night (I do not cough during the day). I take Delsym cough syrup (12 hour) every night (sometimes double the recommended dose) and have to sleep w/sugarless cough drops in my mouth. Even though they are sugarless, they are apparently causing a breakdown of the enamel on my teeth, according to my dentist (who wants me to stop using cough drops ASAP), and 13 cavities within the last year. Singulair Made My Son Crazy... What Is the Alternative?

My son has been on Singulair for allergies and asthma since before his 1st birthday. He is almost 3. He has always been a "spirited" child, but I am now attributing some of his aggression and challenging behavoir to Singulair.
