BPA In Avent Tempo Liners

After trying several bottles, my daughter loved the Avent bottles (and I liked that they were easy to clean and she hardly had any gas). I was horrified to find out that Avent bottles leached the most BPA. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time switching to BPA-free bottles (baby girl just won't take other bottles or she's had bad gas). After doing some reading, I found out that bottle liners such as the Playtex Drop-ins do not contain BPA. Does anyone know if this is true for the new Avent Tempo liners (the formula would be slightly...

Avent or Born Free Bottles???

I am due to have my 2nd baby in January and I can't decide which bottles to use. I will be breastfeeding as long as possible but will still need bottles. I used Avent with my 1st daughter and liked them (that was before the info on BPA came out). I was going to switch to Born free but Avent now makes BPA free. I am also concerned with which bottle will reduce gas the most. I just can't seem to make a decision - any suggestions???

I went to increase to the number 3 (3 nipple holes) when my son was 3 months old, as recommended but he wasn't able to tolerate the increase in flow. he began spitting up a lot, regardless of how often we burped him before we put him down. He is currently 5 months old and seems to have no...

Sterilizing Bottles and Such

How old were your babies when you stopped sterilizing the bottles and pump stuff? We have a steam sterilizer that I use for everything, I BF so it's mainly pump supplies and the occasional bottle, but I was just wondering when others stopped and just handwashed or ran things through the dishwasher. NOTE: I'm not looking for an explanation of why sterilizing isn't necessary, just when others that did use them stopped. It's quick, easy, and it makes me feel better!
