I need to get a new cell phone. I use mine for work and need to be able to access the internet. I also really like having a touch screen phone. I'm looking at getting the Apple iPhone.
I want to get your opinions on what you like or what you don't like about the phone.
Thanks!

My hubby surprised daughter (13) and I with I Phone's last April, so we have the oldest version. We love it. As another poster said...you must take good care of it because they won't insure it...therefore if you damage it....it is on your $$$

I was more concerned with daughter (13) since she has lost or damaged 3 pnones so far. She has done really well with the Iphone. She has a gel type case on it. I do not have a case on mine. It slips in my pocket easily as well as a front pocket on my purse.

Pros........Love internet access. I no longer take my laptop if I head out of town because I have this. MUCH easier.

I love the ease of use, screen, rarely dropped call, just everthing about it

During daughter's halloween party, her Ipod froze on the Bose speaker which was the music of the night. The Iphone is compatible with the Bose and she just docked her Iphone on it and it worked great.

It takes good pictures. There is some link similar to yahoo where you can point your location on your phone and people on your friend list can see where you are,,,,as in meet me at coffee shop, etc.

Cons.....it does not have the video feature we had with our razor phones and we kindof miss that.

Cons....you can't send/recieve pictures in text messages. The only way to send/receive pictures is via email.

You do have to "get the hang" of it because in the beginning I accidently called people by touching something. That is easy to adjust and you learn fast.

STEP FORWARD........hubby got the newest one out a couple of months ago. He LOVES it. His is faster, has more apps accessible via the phone, gps, and maybe a couple more features. Again...he loves it and would not trade it in.

As for daughter and me, we are on the same shared Attplan. There is extra costs involved with the Iphone of $20/month EACH. Add that with the regular service we have which also has $30 unlimited text, etc and my bill is around $175/month.

I believe the monthly chanrge for hubby's phone is more than $20 for internet access, etc. Those charges are required for the IPhones. His plan has a lot higher minute limit, texting and his bill is around $150/month (of course he is reimbursed due to his business)

OVERALL......we are all 3 very happy with our Iphones. If I were to change anything, I would get the newer one out now that is faster. LOVE IT

I LOVE my iPhone!!! It's great for calls, internet, texting, and entertaining my daughter since I have all her videos on it when we are in the store that she can watch and listen to!!! It has been a life saver many times.

I bought mine at the apple store and I purchased a 2 year warranty which they will replace it if it has issues. I did buy a leather cover for it and my daughter has dropped it a few times without issue.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I had the first version and passed that on to my husband when I upgraded to the new version. I couldn't live without it! I have apps to track calories, my menstrual cycle, grocery lists - you name it, I have it. I also use mine for work, I can access .wav files for when I receive voicemails at work. Also able to open PDF's of faxes when I receive those at work. Internet speed is amazing! I purchased a warranty through SquareTrade online. My husband is absolutely brutal on phones and his is still fine as well!

My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. I remember thinking they were so cool at first, and then I spent time using a friend's. Oh my goodness it was horrible. Not only does it weigh almost what my laptop weighs (not really but it sure feels like it), if you text, it takes FOREVER to text with that darn touch screen. I tried making a call from my friend's phone, and it was frustrating just trying to do that. You have to hit the buttons just right, or you'll accidentally get the one next to it.

There are a lot of other touch screens out there that look similar but cost less. I think if you're more interested in the touch screen to look at those just to see. I'm a texter, so I've been looking at blackberries. They have internet access too and GPS and the same necessities that the iPhone has and are much much lighter in weight (and not so big too). JMHO

I have the iphone and I love it. I use mine for work also and have to be able to access the internet. I had the first version that came out and just traded it for the new one that was just released and this one is so much faster. My friend just got the Samsung eternity from Att and loves it. I would highly recommend the iphone, the only bad thing is they won't let you insure it so you have to REALLY take care of it.

I have the Instinct through Sprint and I love it. My husband and I were just talking about the difference in the two this morning. He thinks the iphone is better, which it probably is, but we are stuck with Sprint for life it feels like and the Instinct has worked great for me. It took me about a week to get used to it...I was on the verge of taking it back, but I love it now.
