Has anyone tried weight watchers and had success? I want to join for a month only, and lose about 10 pounds. Has anyone that kind of success with Weight watchers. If so, online or meetings?

What can I do next?

I joined before I got married, 4 years ago. I just did the on-line. What is nice about online, is that you can find and print a ton of receipes and then just throw them in a binder and keep them forever, even if you are not a member in another month, you will still have the receipes for healthier eating. That is really what it is all about anyway. Good luck!

I did weight watchers after I had my 2nd baby. I lost 25 pounds in about 5 months...without exercising too much, BUT I was still flabby. Exercise will really help you to tone up. My husband and I both did it together using the points system and it wasn't too bad. I of course would always rather eat what I want when I want, but WW gives you the ability to still make choices about what you want to eat. It is certianly a lifestyle change not just a "diet." We also only did it on-line, but I know some people who say that wouldn't be enough for them. After I have my baby I plan to go back on it. Good Luck if you decide to join and don't hesitate to ask any questions!

I have friends that joined WW and have lost weight. I had lost when I joined a long time ago but then got stuck. For me, exercise is everything. If I don't exercise, it just does not get past a few pounds. Right now, you can join WW online for free to try it out. It ios worth a shot. I might do it again just to get started. But WW is also a great way to rethink how and what you eat and use that even when you don't follow the program. www.weightwatchers.com/free (saw it on TV today)

I did it for maybe 10 months after my first child. It's not easy but I was happy with it. I think weight watchers is about long-term changes though, not quick weight loss. I lost a pound a week. I plan to do it after my second child is born too. I did the online program, they have a very extensive web site. Never went to a single meeting.

Hi there! I did weight watchers and had great success. And once you join, you get all the materials and info so if you ever gain 5 pounds during the holidays and need to lose them again, you have the info to do it. I enjoyed the program because I was able to eat anything I wanted - it's just portion control. For the first week, you feel hungry, but your body does get used to it. The other good thing is that it pretty much forces you to eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water which are all great for your body. I highly recommend it and I would usggest you go to the meetings. My hubby joined online but has a hard time keeping himself motivated. I went to the meetings and they weigh you so you feel more motivated to stay on track and get to your goal.
Best wishes!
