Underwear for 2 Year Old

I'm planning on potty training my daughter, who's almost 2. I need help determining what size underwear she is - She's only 25 lbs, so she's on the small end of the spectrum. I've looked at underwear in the stores, and I can't seem to find a size chart, and the smallest size I've seen is 4. Can anyone tell me what size I should be buying for her? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Dear A.,

I would recommend you get cloth training underwear (or training pants not sure how they advertise them) they are very thick and can help to avoid extra messy accidents. I know Target sells them, if you can't find them they can be ordered on line. Even if they look big they are all 100% cotton so they will probably shrink a bit. I recommend parents use these at my daycare as well verses pull-ups which to them feel just like a diaper. Good luck!!

There are size 2-3 panties available from all the major brands. I find them in the baby aisle.

Good luck! :)

Walmart has a good selection of size 2T/3T underwear for both boys and girls. My sons were both very thin and they started in the 2T sizes and they fit them well. Hope this helps and you find something.

I would think she would need size 3. My daughter who is about 28 lbs is just now wearing the 4's.(they are still slightly big) but she is very petite and skinny. If your daughter is bigger she may need the 4's. You can find them at target, walmart and k-mart. They also have the extra padded ones for training. (can find at Target). Good Luck.

Look at Target in the baby aisles - they should carry the toddler sizes there and should have size charts on the back of the package.
