Generally, these are called the "six year molars". My daughter got hers in kindergarten.
Hi Moms,
My 4 1/2 year old is complaining that her teeth hurt. I took a look and it appears there's something white protruding behind her last bottom molar (so, it looks like another tooth coming in). But I thought all her baby molars should be in by now. I may call the dentist today but I am just wondering if anyone had molars come in around this age.
Thank you to everyone who responded. ;-) After a quick stop at the dentist, we now have confirmation that this is, in fact her 6 yr molar coming in. Just as an FYI to all the moms out there, the dentist did say that it could recede a bit before it actually comes through the gums so I shouldn't worry that it was something else if it stops hurting her for a bit without actually coming in.

It is a little early, but it could be her six-year-old molars. Some motrin should help with the pain. If you are really concerned should can call the dentist and see what they say.
could be her 6 year molars my oldest had all 4 of them by the time he turned 5.
Ditto to the other answers. She really is a "big" girl now!
Kids do get 6 year molars. Maybe she is getting her's early. When you have her xrays done at the dentist, they can tell you where she stands with them.
