My almost 9 month old has 4 teeth (2 top and 2 bottom). He seems to be very cranky and had an awful time sleeping last night, and I was thinking it might be teething. When do babies get the next four teeth after their first four in the front?
My now 15 month old had her first four by the 9 month point too. Since then, it stayed stagnant for about a month or 6 weeks and now it hasn't stoppped. we have ten teeth that we have been permitted to see when she laughs, but we believe there are more ready to punch through. Good luck with this!

I don't remember when my kids finally popped out. I do remember with both of my kids it could take months for the teeth to pop out of the gums for sure. It was a 3-4 month process with mine. They would get cranky, litlle tiny teeth would be there just poking out. Then the next day the teeth will go back into their gums. Not gonna lie... Those were some sucky days. But, it too shall pass. The only things that helped with my kids is rubbing a couple drops of rum on their gums. The OTC gum stuff like Ora-gel only worked for a couple of minutes. I would also give a little motrin, it helps with swelling and worked better than Tylenol in this case. Also, look for all natural teething tabs. They dissolve and work quick. I kept these around for years... It helps settle the kids and sometimes all you need is them to settle down and stop fighting sleep. Good luck.
