water balloon toss
relay race
scavenger hunt
and my 9 year old son still loves having a pinata
three legged race
or there is a game where you tie a balloon to each childs foot and the last one to get popped wins
you can also do musical chairs with pie tins of shaving cream on the chairs
you can do a target toss with shaving cream pie tins as well, a replacement for pin the tail on the donkey
just want to toss a reminder though make sure everyone leaves with something even at 8 kids can get upset if they dont wim something and feel left out.
also themed games are great, if the child is into a certain sport say soccer, set up a goal and see who can be the first to kick in three goals, or if it's football set up a target and see who can toss it through the most times in a minute, make it a themed scavenger hunt for wahtever their interest is, or make it into more of a treasure hunt with a couple of teams and clues to follow.

hope something here helps have a great day.

Sounds great for 8 year old boys to do! As long as I'm sitting in a chair watching and taking pictures and not putting the frozen t-shirt on.
Egg and balloon tosses are fun also. Water gun fights. Is the t-shirt thing her idea or her sons idea? Maybe let him make suggestions...the 8 y/o would know best as to what he thinks would be fun for his party.
