I'm not a big Beatles fan but love the early super short pop songs like:

"I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and "Twist and Shout"

Those songs just make me HAPPY!

Ha! I was going to say- you can't pick just one! Yellow Submarine holds a dear place in my heart. My first grade teacher was a wild over The Beatles, and she taught us the song in English and Spanish for our school program and also let two of my friends and I build a yellow submarine in our classroom! Others I love: Hey Jude, Octopus's Garden, Yesterday, A Day in the Life, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer... I plan to have Blackbird sung at my funeral. I hope my wishes will be honored -such a hauntingly beautiful song!

For me...the older I get...it is "When I'm Sixty-four"...

And of course...be cause they wrote it FOR me...(but misspelled my name) "Michele Ma Belle"...

And so many more fond memories as a 'youngin'

Good question!

I owned the complete collection even as a teenager...limiting it to a top 5 is hard, but I will try...in no particular order
Till there was you ( because when my first child was born I couldn't even think of any lullabyes so I would sing this song over and over to him when I walked the floors with him)
Good Day Sunshine ( because I wake my kids up singing this all the time!)
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da ( kids sing along with me and I think its so cute )
If I Fell
and...wow, only one more??? Hmmmm
Do you want to know a secret is probably tied with Blackbird...
Honestly though I love them all, I can think of a time and a reason I have put on each song to fit a mood...what is funny, my mom dislikes the Beatles and has never understood my deep love for them = )

it used to be rocky raccoon, and i couldnt say, let it be, hey jude, or revolution because thats all the radio ever plays.I had to really weigh in on my decision here, i wanted to grab the 'essense" of the beatles experience. You can do no wrong if you put on the white album though. It was hard to pick 5, im only 29 but the beatles are still my #1 favorite band of all time.

for good reason

I don't have a favorite beatles song. However, I really enjoyed them when the Boston Pops orchestra played them with the full orchestra rather than guitars. It makes them sound so different and so sophisticated.

Good luck to you and yours.
