So, What Are YOUR Kids Doing?

Right at this very moment?

My youngest (14) is at the new Daniel Radcliffe movie with her BFF.
My middle (17) is upstairs playing WWC, or some equally awful game.
My oldest (19) is away at school, and I can't really be responsible for what a second year college student is doing on a Friday night, can I?

:)

Jumping up and down, singing, acting a fool, and naked. I can't expect any less of a 2 1/2 year old. Especially, a weirdo like mine ;)

nope not really....

one of mine (4 year old) is naked screaming at D, her sister to stop calling her name, cause "its getting me in trouble" shes trying to put on her sari from her Auntie and its not going well, I might have to stop typing long enough to wrap her.

The 2 year old, is playing the piano, next to me, giving me a head ache.

the 1 year old, is throwing his toys out of his room systematically, I think he trying to reach the 2 year old. OOOH man there went the crocodile hop game... guess its time to be mommy again.

Oldest (8) is cleaning my house to earn some extra cash so he can buy some lego Star Wars set.
The girls (6 and 4) are in their swimsuits, youngest is also wearing a batman mask, and they are hand-scrubbing the floor with washcloths. I am not sure why they are wearing swimsuits or scrubbing the floor, but it's just fine with me!!

If I had to guess my oldest(23) is preparing to drink. His house is in the party district of the city. :p

Next (21) is going somewhere where she will either drink and walk home or will not drink and drive the drunks home. She is the good kid, ask her, she will tell you. :p

Genna (10) is probably driving her father nuts! Which he deserves since he sent her to school today without giving her her meds! I know this because she yelled it as soon as I walked in the door. I then asked if their father was on his way to pick them up. Yikes!!

Andy(12) is probably eating dinner acting like he knows no one at the table.

Mine's in the car with his grandmother heading to aikido. I have 3 whole hours to get some work done!

Ahem.

So I'm first making sure that I appropriately procrastinate on that work so adrenaline fueled with fear at only having 2 hours to get 3 hours of work done that I'll burst through it with Jedi like powers! Or rather... I'll get 2.5 hours worth done, and then desperately attempt to get the other half an hour in while I'm supposed to be doing the next thing.

Sometimes I really miss my ADHD meds.

She's "cheerleading" for the mock superbowl game that her after school care program is doing right this very moment. I asked her if any girls were playing in the football game and she said "No, it isn't allowed." I said, "What? Why not?"

She replied: "What girl would want to play smelly ole football anyway, mom?"

Ahem. Right. Ok.

Last night she showed my husband and I the 8 cheers that they've been working on .... sooooo cute.

My youngest (9) is building a fort with a girlfriend in her room.
My middle (13) is playing Xbox, or some equally awful game system, downstairs in the basement with a neighbor boy. I do hear lots of laughing so probably not Halo.
My oldest (23) is serving with the US Peace Corps in Guatemala. Her blog is: http://jaronelizabethreed.blogspot.com/
And I just made dinner...a new twist on an old classic...I layered from bottom up: tomato sauce, browned Italian sausage, sauteed mushrooms and garlic, beef and cheese tortellinis, sauteed green peppers, more tortellinis covered with more sauce...Italian cheeses thrown in between one of layers....it's baking, I'm off to a hot bath b/c I hurt my back....I should probably take a glass of wine with me....will come back and smother the mock lasagna bake thing in more cheese and serve tonight with a simple green salad...then it's movie night for us as hubs has been out of town all week. And I'm beat.

My youngest (4) is in the tub after peeing all over herself and the floor (*sigh*, did not heed my warnings to go before she had the accident), and my husband just got our oldest (6) in the tub too after her initial defiance and rudeness. Talk occurred about possible taking away of privileges, I am off to see what came of that. I am more amazed at what I am doing - making dinner, cleaning the pee, getting the clean towels from the dryer, hanging up the delicate clothes that have to air dry from the washer, and of course, typing on this site!

At this very moment, my daughter (10) is watching our DVD of School House Rock's "I'm Just a Bill" (or maybe she has Netflix on... not sure which... anyway)... she's sitting in the living room alone watching and singing along about how a bill becomes a law. I must admit, I'm Just a Bill was always one of my favs too. It is a catchy little tune.

My son, 13, is in bed. He is testing for his 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do tomorrow and decided to go to bed early so he will be well rested. The testing takes all day. We live a little over an hour away from the test site, and it begins at 9:00 a.m. They work out and drill and do forms etc all day long (except a break for lunch, and a break to change clothes before the ceremony starts) and open the doors for parents/friends to watch the ceremony around 5:30 pm. When he tested for his First Degree belt, the ceremony lasted until around 8:00 pm.
It is an exhausting day. I hope he gets a decent night's sleep and doesn't toss and turn and let his nerves keep him from sleeping.

My two boys.. its thier dad's weekend. #3 just called complaining that they have to go to thier grandma's... again ( this happens every weekend they are with their dad) because they are going out... again.

Dinner is done, kitchen is cleaned up and now its down time at our house. My oldest and husband are sitting next/ behind me watching "who do you think you are" and the two youngest are watching cartoons for the next 15 mins before its bedtime routine and bedtime.

Come 8 after the two youngest go to bed, my oldest will curl up ( more than he already is) on our bed and they will watch Ghost Adventures ( even though its a rerun and they have seen EVERY episode) and I will mindlessly play games on Pogo for the hour. Then kick him out of our room and its time to for me to curl up and watch tv for an hour before bedtime.

OMG! I have been running kids around here and there all night!
My daughter went to the Y with a friend after school to play basketball. On the same run I then dropped my son off at the ski hill so he could ski with a friend. An hour later I went to pick up the girls and bring them to Subway to eat before dropping them off at Volleyball practice. An hour after that I picked up my son and brought him home. Now I have a half hour before I pick up my daughter from practice.
Wheh! Then we are all home for the night, except for my husband who is in Seattle this weekend on business.

Grrr....my daughter on a business trip just posted a picture of a margarita that she's drinking while waiting for her plane. She said it's delayed 2 hours. But the flight itself is only about 35 minutes or so! Grrr...Her car is at the airport. WHY do my kids do these things? She NEVER thinks she could get an DUI. She always says she waited enough time. BUT.... She's not a large person.

Sitting at the table eating cheeseburgers and fries because I didn't feel like cooking :)... Okay, that's the babies...
