Short Period After D&C- Need Some Help Please

I did not have a d&c. However, I did have a tubal pregnancy in April. I got my period about 5 weeks later. My first normal length of cycle and amount of bleeding was in July-August. In May, June & the length between June & July were all very abnormal. One was really heavy, one was really light and the length between each period was 5-6 1/2 weeks! I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm sure you'll period will go back to normal within a few months.

i would call you doctor or call the local health deparment. i really dont know what to tell you because i have never had a d & c. im sorry. i try to give a lil advince to everyone. i am a mom of 4 so i know a lil.

Your body had been through a difficult experience. It will take a month or two before it gets back to normal. (That why Drs recommend waiting 3 or 4 cycles before trying to get preg again.) I'm betting in about four weeks you will have a much more normal period. Be patient with your body. (If you were having EXCESS or frequent bleeding, I would be more worried - too little bleeding is likely your body readjusting and reacting to the D&C.)

Didn't have the d & c, but did miscarry at about 7 weeks. Took me 2-3 times to return to normal. The first one was definitely different and much shorter and kind of threw me for a loop too, the 2nd was a lot sooner than it should have been, but went a little longer, then by the 3rd, I was back to normal. Give it some time.
