Hello. I'm looking for help regarding a place to have my sister's baby shower. We live in north Mesa and would like to have it somewhat close to where we live. I've thought about having it at my house but I'm not sure I have enough room and all the golf courses around here want so much to use thier banquet room!! Does anyone know of a nice place that has a banquet room that's not really overpriced?

What can I do next?

My friends had mine at Z-Tejas Restaraunt in Tempe. It was Great! You can do appetizers, or have everyone order what they want to. You can include certain items and if someone wants to order something other than what you offer, they can and just pay for it. It was awesome because we all got to enjoy food, cake, and gift opening without any of us having to clean up after it was all over! They set us up in an area aside from all the other tables so we had our own space off to the side. I thought it was great! Just an idea!

OK, off the subject of baby showers... but what do you do from home ? I would love to be able to stay home with my kids!

My mother in law did my second baby shower at the Landmark Restaurant in west Mesa. They have a buffet that everyone can eat from or they can order separately. They have separate banquet rooms downstairs or you can have it in the main dining hall, which is what we did. They just brought fresh flowers for decorations. We had a really great, relaxing time.

You can also look into some tea rooms around Mesa, there are a few in Downtown Mesa and some in Gilbert. One more suggestion: I believe it is called Crackers and Company on Greenfield and Brown. It is really a quaint little restaurant and has really great food. They have a small room off to the side of the main dining area that would be perfect for a shower. I hope this helps! Good luck!

I'm not sure if there are any places here in AZ that do it, but in WA, some of the apartment complexes will rent out their clubhouse to people who want to have a place to throw a party (some of them even do it free as long as you leave it in the condition you found it in). Maybe you could call around to some of the nicer apartment complexes here and see if they have anything like that.

Hi there...depending on how many people you are expecting and what time of day your are planning on, Crackers and Co at Greenfield and Brown is a really nice location. They don't have a banquet room per se, but they have a separate room in the back that can accomodate quite a few people. We had my brother's wedding rehersal dinner there in November and it was really nice - just an option to think about. They have great food and they didn't even charge anything to have the room reserved. They are open until 2:30 in the afternoon. Good luck!!
