Looking for an idea of where to start on this stuff. I finally have time to get going on a new project and would really appreciate some pointers! Anyone know of a great starter kit, or place to take a class?

Thanks!

I have a friend who is a "Stampin Up" consultant. She does at home parties, and teaches all kinds of things. It's a lot of fun! Let me know if you want her info.

I go to Archivers at 119th and Metcalf near the Rosanna shopping center. Not only do they have classes they also have an onsite workroom for you to use at the store. Visit www.archiversonline.com for more information and class costs. Have fun.

YES! A friend of mine is an instructor and has GREAT classes on how to and where to begin. She just launched this great new system that is fantastic! I am actually a rep for the same company but only to get a personal discount on product! Email me at ____@____.com if you want her info! She has some classes coming up this month too! :)

B.,

My church offers scrapbooking once a month. They spend an entire Saturday working together, chatting and helping each other. As far as I know it is free with lots of advice and lots of room to spread out. You can come and go as you wish and stay as long as you want.

I belong to First Baptist Church Lee's Summit. I have been planning on starting myself but have been extremely busy as of late with preparing for the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. Check out the website and/or give the church a call.

Depending on where you live, there are lots of places aroudn that you can go to the shops and work in their 'open scrap' areas.

what i did when i started was to just get together with someone who scraps a lot and get a feel for what they have, what you like and then you can sort out the kind of 'look' you think you might be able to do.

i live in independence, and i scrap with a friend of mine at my house quite a bit. let me know and i can give you specificsa about where to shop and get good deals.

Go to Micheals or archivers. They have Scrap Mania where you eat there...use their supplies and just scrapbook. Hope that helps!
