Hello Ladies! I have decided to start a new hobby, "scrapbooking". Does anyone know of any groups or ways to get involved in scrapbooking with others? I am new to this, so I do not really know what I am doing and would love to learn! Thank you!

I am a scrapbooker in McKinney! There are a couple places I have been wanting to check out:

SCRAP THIS! STAMP THAT! 4100 WEST ELDORADO PARKWAY, MCKINNEY ###-###-####

SCRAPPIN BUNNIES, 400 N. CENTRAL EXPRESSWAY, SUITE #108, MCKINNEY ###-###-####

I have not been to either one yet. I have been doing this for years and have LOTS of supplies and equipment (Cricket, binding machine, etc.) and have no one to scrap with right now! My 8-month-old baby makes it tough, too. I would love to show you some of the stuff I have done and share my supplies with you if you'd ever like to come over and see!! I'm sure there are some groups, too, such as crops you can join, but I haven't tried any here yet. If you would like to come over sometime and see all the goodies in my scrapbooking room, I would love it! Just send me a message.

There is also a store close to McKinney in Allen called Personal Scrapbook. Our meetup group goes there often to crop. The owner, Tara, has alot of different classes you can take and fun crop options so you could come check out what others are doing and get alot of advice on how to get going. I belong to a few scrap groups on meetup and it's a great place to meet others who like to scrap too.

HI A.,
I am scrapbooker as well. And yes there are lots of groups out there. Check out Meetup.com, you'll find a ton. Also, check with your neighborhood. I know lots of subdivision have there own scrapbook clubs. Get the word out that you are starting. There are so many ladies in the area that scrapbook that I know you will run into a lot. Also, check out scrapbooking stores. They offer crops and those are a great way to meet others. Unfortunatly we don't have many scrapbooking stores in the area anymore. There is 1 in Mckinney called scrappin Bunny off 75 behind CiCi's pizza. It's a small store but she's got a lot of stuff and good classes.

Welcome to the expensive but fun world of scrapbooking!

I have a friend that rents out Highpointe church of christ gym to let people come scrapbook. She does sell creative memories but does not push it. She generally has them once a month and it starts usually on a Friday at 7pm and goes till you can't go anymore. She charges $5 per crop and you get a big table, snacks, drinks, and you get to use all her cool stuff. Info below.

Hi A.,

I would love to introduce you to Heritage Makers which is digital scrapbooking. You just upload your photos to the online publishing system and you are ready to create your own storybooks. There are thousands of pieces of art, templates, digi-stickers, borders, embellishments etc and no downloads are required. You can make adds and changes as many times as you want and nothing is final until you publish your story. You can create storybooks, invitations, personal playing cards, calendars, cookbooks etc...

The books come out amazing and it's a great way to preserve your photos and your stories.

Check out my website at www.itsstorybooktime.com

Let me know if you have any questions and I would love to chat with you and host a webinar to show you everything about Heritage Makers. Please feel free to email me at ____@____.com

Have a great day!

Ditto Scrappin' Bunnies. I go there often, and it's a great place to learn and meet other scrappers. I have not been doing scrapping for long, but they've been awesome about teaching me basics, techniques, etc.

There is a meetup on meetup.com, but I haven't been able to gtg with them since I WOH f/t. I try to go to the Scrappin Bunnies crops and classes when I can.

HTH!
