K.,

Buy some greased lightening (you can buy it at Walmart) and spray the clothes with it, let them set for awhile and then take an old toothbrush and scrub the spot in circles.
If you need to spray them some more, do it. And I promise you it will come out.
Good luck.

Ironing the spot with a paper bag between the clothes and the iron should pull the wax out... but I'm not sure about the red coloring. I've had luck getting red coloring out with a clean cloth between the fabric (or carpet) and my iron. I use it at full steam!!! and the color magicaly transfers from the carpet/clothes to the fabric (I usually use a dishtowel). GOOD LUCK

If your husband has a can of "goof Off" in the garage, it works! We use it for lots of disasters and it works.

Same thing happened to me awhile back. I used Kids 'n' Pets. It's a liquid. I just poured it into my washing machine where the bleach normally goes. It got every bit of crayon out! I also used it to clean all the crayon off of the inside of my dryer. It didn't damage the fabric, I didn't have to pretreat or anything.

I have a GREAT recipe for this. My daughter left a red and green crayon in her pocket - and it was a wash of khakis, etc (lighter clothes). I debated pitching everything, as it was ALL over the clothes. I searched online, found this recipe and figured it couldn't hurt. I couldn't believe my eyes - EVERYTHING came out in the first wash, it was unbelievable!

2 max amounts (line 3) of concentrated Tide (or generic)
1 cup Oxiclean
1/2 cup 20 mule team Borax
1 cup Shout liquid
1 cup white vinegar

Depending on the clothes, wash on hot or warm. I filled the washer and let them soak for about 20 minutes - you could actually see the stains coming off, it was amazing. I'm not sure you HAVE to presoak, but it definitely worked.

I had this happen a few years back...I am so sorry!!
The crayola website has cleaning tips for all their crayons and markers. It was a BIG help for me and I actually saved all the clothes that had crayon on them. Good Luck!

lay a sheet of waxed paper over the crayoned clothing, then a towel over that and use a warm iron back and forth over the towel, the crayon will heat up and stick to the waxed paper. Also works with melted candles on carpeting or fabrics.
