Ok, Ladies. This may be TMI. I am on the POPs pills right now. Since I just finished bf my youngest son about 2 weeks ago. However, I got my period back in April. SInce then I have been very irregular. 1 week here, 3 weeks there, a couple days... That kind of thing. Now it has been 29 days since my last period. I am still taking my pills and haven't missed any days, but I keep expecting my period and it hasn't come. I took a pregnancy test one day 24 and one yesterday. Both have come back negative. Since I've been so irregular I'm not sure when to ecpect it. With my other 3 kids the test always came back positive before my missed period. So, my question is can I still be pregnant, even with taking the pills and the negative tests? How long should I wait before I test again, and how long should I wait if I don't get a positive test before I see my doctor? There could be other causes for no period, right? Thanks for any input!

What can I do next?

You can still be pregnant and not show a "positive" test.

Big "problem"...Breastfeeding changes soo many things in your body. I didn't have a single period after having my 1st son for almost a year. Then when I did it was anything but regular. I'd say if you are worried about it go talk to your dr. What will it hurt?

Hello - I was super irregular on POPs - I have heard this is very common. - So yes, being on POPs alone could cause it to be late - or miss it for a couple of months - really it is truly that irregular for many people. Also, just recently finishing up breastfeeding your body often takes months - often up to a year to adjust.

My period was very irregular on the mini-pill while breastfeeding; twice I went like 60 something days with no period. I continued taking my pill, as the pregnancy test cam back negative. I would be lying if I said I didn't worry, but I faithfully took my pill. So, I would think your period's are just irrerular right now.

After I finished breastfeeding and switched pills, my period was super erratic. I would get three one month and then nothing for two months. It was too stressful for me to never know what to expect so my doctor switched me to a different brand of pill and things got better.
