Tomorrow (July 7) will be six weeks since I had my implanon removed and 5 weeks since I have stopped bleeding. Now and for the past 3 days my breasts feel as though they are full. Like as if I was breastfeeding. My nipples aren't sore though. I went to the ob-gyn on July 1st and although they didn't do a pregnancy test they didn't say anything about it when they did my pap. Could I be pregnant or is my period going to start soon?My nipples have been sore to touch or anything for that matter before one or two of my periods but nothing like this! They are killing me I can't do anything without them hurting. Yes we are trying to get pregnant and I would love to have been last week! Lol I did take a test on June 30 but BFN so I'm not sure when to test again!

What can I do next?

It is hard to say as the symptoms of both are super similar and can vary each month and each pregnancy. My experience was that my breasts were super tender and sore with my first baby (I never had any breast change with periods ever) and with the second baby I did not have much change until the start of my second trimester. If you normally have fuller breasts or experience change in them during or before your period than it may just be that but if you NEVER have any breast change before or during a period I would think you would be pregnant. TAKE A TEST! Best of luck!

They can't tell you're pregnant during a pap unless they are really looking for it during the pelvic exam. And even then you need to be at least a few weeks along so that the uterus has enlarged enough to feel a difference.
Were you tracking fertility? Do you know that you ovulated and had sex right around the same time?
Say you have a regular cycle and bled for 7 days and then ovulated at day 14. You would have implanted 10 days later...day 24, then you had the pap at day 35? It's unlikely they could have been able to feel that you were pregnant. BUT, you should be able to get a positive pee test by now. So, take one!
I'm guessing that if it's negative, then it's just your body trying to get back to normal after being controlled by artificial hormones for so long. Start tracking fertility so you know when you are fertile and should have sex. Read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" if you don't know about cycle charting.

This is just my guess based off of my experience coming off of two types of birth control.. I think it may just be the difference in hormone levels messing with your system and your system is trying to level out. I experienced this coming off of Mirena after having it taken out then again when I stopped using birth control pills (Ortho Tri-lo). Are you trying to get pregnant?

What I would do is either test two weeks after the last time you had sex or wait it out. Your periods may be a bit funky for a while while your body adjusts. Your symptoms could also be from ovulation if you're not on birth control after implanon. My guess is that they would not look for signs of pregnancy unless you brought it up as a concern.

They can't tell pregnancy from a pap. Why don't you get a preg test at the store.
