I live in Pflugerville and am considering looking for a new doctor to both go through my pregnancy with and to deliver my son this summer. Any suggestions. I am into convenience and my current doctor is great, but not super convenient.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanx for all the OB/GYN suggestions. I so appreciate it. I think I may stick with the one I have because she too is good and in North Austin Women's Group. I think I was just hoping for some "super doc" even closer to us out here in Pflugerville.

Dr. Margaret Thompson is great. I'm not sure what you mean by convenience. Location?? Well, she delivers at North Austin Medical Center and her office is accross the street. She delivered my 3. And has the best hands in the business. My husband is an OR nurse and she came highliy recommened by other doctors. So that is a plus.

So you are looking for convenience? My OBGYN is downtown Austin, so not terribly close to Pflugerville. She is fantastic though. Dr. Sweeney...love her! Whatever you do, PLEASE do NOT go to Dr. Paul Murphree. He is in Round Rock, so he would be very close to you. I went to him because he was close to my house and he was very calming. I have paid a HUGE price in trusting him as my OBGYN. He is irresponsible, unethical and has a God complex. I have a friend who knew his daughter in school. He kindly shared information about her with his daughter. He misdiagnosed me for SEVERAL years & very likely has cost me my life (I had breast cancer, but in his "vast pool of knowledge" believed I was too young to have breast cancer and too yound to have a mamogram. I was stupid in trusting him. Most of my friends used to go to him as well. Key word there is "used" to....everyone left his office running after I was diagnosed. No matter how close those offices may seem, you will be best served to keep driving!!

You might want to try seeing Dr. Christina Sebestyen. She is fairly new in Austin so her practice might not be too busy (thus no waiting to see her). I have really liked any interactions I have had with her (I'm a doula so I get to see lots of different doctors). Her office is right behind the North Austin Medical Center on Mopac, very close to Parmer.

Good luck

If you can use Scott & White, all three OBs at the new Round Rock clinic are great.

I've been going to the Women's Renaissance Group for over 10 years. When we got pregnant, they also delivered my child. They're on MoPac and Parmer in Austin which isn't too far from Pflugerville, we do live in Wells Branch after all. There is also access to pediatricians and pathology lab which is convenient when you have blood work done.

Good luck and congratulations!
