A couple of moms are looking for a fun, friendly restauarant to take our kids. We would really like to avoid the fast foods but want someting kind of quick and happy to have kids. The metro area is fine.

We like the Cafe Latte pizza/wine bar (behind the regular CL) on Grand. It's very kid-friendly, noisy and has good grown-up food. We take our 5 month old there often & always see lots of other families.

Red Robin in Shoreview is great for kids. It's a burger place, so the kids will love it. It's located in Shoreview off of Lexington Ave and 694.
Enjoy!

I like the Longfellow Grill in Minneapolis, www.longfellowgrill.com. It's a sister restaurant to the Highland Grill in St. Paul, but it's a little bigger which makes it easier with kids. Both places will bring buckets of toys to the table to entertain the wee ones. They also do special kids meals that aren't on the regular menu if you just ask.
