Hi im sorry im really new at this whole pregnancy thing and I may not know all the right terms for everything! Im 27 yrs old and married for 4 yrs already been trying for a baby for 2 1/2 yrs .So on June 24 I had a IUI done which was triggered with a pregnyl shot and I did take clomid for days 3-7 of my cycle, today was my 28th day of my cycle and 13th day past my Iui . I have been experiencing quite a few symptoms lately since I know clomid and the trigger shot should of been out of my system could it be pregnancy symptoms possiblely?! Ive been really tired lately ,lately been having alot of headaches, have very sore heavy feeling breasts, been peeing like a couple time a hour not normal for me lol, and been having these sharp cramps coming and going for the last few days but no period I was suppose to get it on day 27 of my cycle its never late and if anything usually a day or 2 early . I tested today to to see if im pregnant and it said negative can it too early or what my doctor told me to test 12 days past my iui but today was 13 days past!

What can I do next?

We aren't doctors and this isn't a medical site. Do you know how many "am I pregnant" questions we get on here? A lot. We don't know if you are pregnant.

Yes, you could be pregnant. Go ask a doctor.

M.,

Since this is your first question, you couldn't possibly know that you have asked probably the number one question that many of these ladies says gets on their nerves so you might get some snarky, testy answers back. Every now and then someone likes to do a "poll" where they ask something like "what's your least favorite kind of question on mamapedia" and the one you have asked usually ends up in the top 3. Believe me, I'm not putting you down for asking it but just want you to be prepared that you unknowingly walked into a tricky first question.

That being said, I get the tone of your question. Of course you know we couldn't possibly know if you are pregnant or not, I think you are just looking for a little encouragement or personal experience from one of the other moms here that it could indeed be, that maybe they have a very similar set of circumstances and indeed were pregnant. You have obviously been trying for a very long time and no doubt are pretty desperate to have a baby. I have not had to battle the heartache of infertility myself so I can't possibly understand that desire you have and that hope that maybe, just maybe...

Anyway, I don't know if you are or not but I will hope for you. Like the others said, all you can do is get officially tested at your dr's office or wait and try another HPT if your period still doesn't come.

Best wishes and again, if any of the responses seem short or abrasive, don't take it too personal :-)

Welcome to mamapedia, M.!

You need to go back to the doctor who gave you the shots and hormones. I'm sorry - but NONE of us here can tell you if you are pregnant.

1. If you have had unprotected sex - yes, you could be pregnant.
2. you have a chemicals in your body - a BOATLOAD of them - and your body is freaking out.
3. You've been trying for so long to get pregnant that your brain could be giving you all the symptoms you WANT to.

You took a pregnancy test and it said NO. So go back to your doctor. Have a blood test ran.

Good luck.

I agree that a body full of conception-aid hormones and a body full of pregnancy hormones can feel the same way. I did Clomid and IUI, and the whole fertility thing is completely exhausting anyway. It's hard to know if your symptoms come from pregnancy, treatment, stress, or something else. I'm sure your fertility doctor told you to act as if you are pregnant (no alcohol, limited or no caffeine, etc.). And early pregnancy tests are often negative even if you are pregnant. It's so hard when you really want to know, and it's especially frustrating when you've been trying for so long and are undergoing fertility treatments, but honestly, you just have to wait. Don't keep testing yourself every day - it's expensive and frustrating. The generation before us just waiting it out, and for much longer than what women have to go through now. Try to put yourself in a better mental place while you wait.

Hi. We're not medical doctors and we don't play them on tv. I'm assuming that since you are undergoing fertility treatment you have a doctor who should be answering these questions for you. The only answers you are going to get by asking this type of question is "Of course you are feeling different. Your body is full of hormones trying to make you conceive. Gee M. maybe you are pregnant. Go to the doctor and get tested."

That's a good question for your doctor, not a bunch of strangers who may or may not take a stab at answering it. We're not helpful really. Your doctor will be.

You can't go by how you feel.
The hormone shots will make you feel things like you never felt before.
Your Dr said to wait till 12 days later before testing and you did.
(Your Dr didn't have you come in for a blood test but has you use an over the counter pee on the stick pregnancy test? It's not something my fertility specialist ever did.)
The result was negative.
Sorry but it looks like this go round the IUI didn't work.
Confirm with your Dr for follow up and to determine what to try next.

Maybe? Maybe not. Wait another day and test again. Then make an appt. with the doc.
