Hi, all!

I am looking for a baptismal/christening gown for my son who will be 5 months in October - the month of his baptism. Does anyone know of some local places to purchase moderately priced suits? (even some good online stores?) I'm not into "breaking the bank" over one day, but I would like him to look cute. We live in Silver Spring.

Thanks!

The City Place Mall in downtown Silver Spring has a Burlington Coat Factory and other small shops that carry such outfits at a reasonable price. I would think that Burlington Coat Factory will have the best buy. I find that you can find lots of cute outfits for kids at a good price at Burlington Coat Factory.

There is a store in Gaithersburg called Grammie's Attic. They have more of the traditional, old school baby clothes like christening dresses, etc. You can find them online if you google them and see what she has. If you are interested, then you can go check it out at the store. We didn't buy a christening outfit there because we have an old family one but we did buy another nice outfit for the lunch afterwards there. The clothes are somewhat expensive, but they are not out of control.

I noticed that Nordstrom has a catalogue that you can select from. A variety of prices. I also liked that there were some nice "gown" options that were not frilly for my son.

We used www.christeningshop.com for our guy who was 4 mo at the time. They shipped quickly and the outfit was adorable.

I would make a post on Freecycle.com . I found some nice things there before for free.
