Yesterday afternoon I could tell I was coming down with something. SUPER tired, very slight chills off and on, just not feeling right. OK, so I rested as much as I could last night, went to bed early, etc. I have been taking Emergen-C and Zicam. As of this morning I basically just feel tired. AAAAARGH.....how can I shake this thing so I'm OK for Thanksgiving?
We aren't hosting or anything, thankfully, we're just going to my parents' house. I am going to take lots of cold medicine if I have to to enjoy the day.....but I really don't want it to come to that!!!!
HELP!

What can I do next?

Have you tried Airborne? It tastes damn awful but seems to work. Yesterday my boss was coughing up a lung and I was drinking away. So far so good. :)

Drink lots of fluid, keep taking C and Zinc and get some rest.

I hope you feel better soon!

Halls Defense Lozenges with zinc, vit c, and echincea, 6 times a day for 3 days and you'll kick it. Stay with the Emergen-C and Zicam too. Lots of liquids, chicken broth as well.

Hope you feel better soon! BTW...sterilize your door knobs, fridge door handles, etc so the rest of your family doesn't come down with it too.

If I am getting sick I take a bunch of raw garlic (it's antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial). I'll chop a clove or 2, let it sit 15 mins then take a spoonful and swallow it with a bunch of water. I'd also take some astralagus and if it is a sinus thing andrographis (Kold Care is a brand name of it). Lots of fluids, as much rest as possible and some hot epsom baths are also on my list. Feel better.

LOTS & LOTS of fluids! Try to drink as much water as you can rest as often as you can today & tomorrow, even if it's just a 20 minute rest every now and then. Take some ibuprofen as well, which will hopefully keep a fever down (which might have been trying to appear yesterday with your on & off chills). Hope you feel better soon...I was sick last year on Thanksgiving & know what a huge bummer that is!

Take cold medicine and hope for the best. Viruses have to run their course and nothing we do can make it go away faster BUT we minimize our misery with medication.

Echinacea helps to curb the cold if you take it within 48 hours of onset symptoms. It works wonders for me. Vitamin C, and coldeeze works too. Make sure to drink lots of fluids. Ginger tea is good as well. Good luck!
