How to Rule Out What Baby Is Allergic To!

My DS one morning woke up with a bad rash on his back, arms, stomach and I freaked out. I took him to the Dr. and he thought it could be the detergent we were using or his bath soap (I was solely brest feeding). He said he could have become allergic to it even though he hadn't been before. We changed soaps and detergents and that didn't help. Then one day it just occurred to me about a week later that my DH had opened up a package of brand new onesies, didn't wash them and put them directly into my DS dresser drawer.

Oddly enough, that is what it was. He was allergic to the onesies but after we washed them, he was fine. Stranger things have happened =-)

However, my DS also has eczema too.

At 1 year old we ended up having my son allergy testes because we too lived at the doctor his first year, he would get rashes, exzema, redness on his face-all sort of fun stuff. We found out he was allergic to everything but after going to a nutritionist they said to slowly start elliminating certain foods to find the cause-it ended up being eggs and that helped-he is now 3 and all of the weird rashes/skin stuff is gone. I know yours is on 7.5 months, but maybe they can do an allergy test so you can elliminate stuff-I would try to do food and environmental if possinbe at her age. I know how frustrating it is and its really hard, but once you find a source it makes it a little easier.

I would maybe just bring her to an allergy doctor. My son, who at the time was 5, was having trouble with coughing all the time. So I took him to an allergy/asthma dr. They did the prick test on his back and it comes to find out he is allergic to weeds and soy. Which is very weird because soy formula is the only one he could tollerate. He also does an inhaler now to help with cough and it helps tremendously!
