Ok I was stupid and didn't go on BC right after our son was born in October- then my insurance changed so it took even longer, so now I had "unprotected sex" and am afraid I could be pregnant. I am nursing exclusively but have heard it's still possible to get pregnant and I've felt nausous the last couple of days. I'm freaking out! I have a 3 month old!! I told my husband I didn't want to plan the next one but I really wasn't thinking so soon!

From what I understand, if you ARE pregnant, you probably wouldn't experience any nausea until you are at least 4-7 weeks, far enough along to get a positive result on a pregnancy test. My thoughts and best wishes to you!

Has your period come back yet? That doesn't mean you're not ovulating though. Normally you ovulate about 14 days after your period starts. If you're not having a period it would be very hard to determine when you're ovulating. I think you can tell the day after conception when you're pregnant. I think you can be nauseated too. I have had friends that were. I can take a test on Tuesday to see if I'm pregnant (we are trying) and I really think I am. I have had an upset stomach, a super sniffer, and been completely exhausted. If you aren't having a period I would just buy some cheap pregnancy test and wait a little while and then take one every few days since it's hard to know when the time is to test. Good luck. I had a friend that had her first two this close (the older one was 11 months when the 2nd was born) and it was a challenge, but she is really enjoying them.

If you're worried about it, take a test. If it's negative and you still have doubts, your doctor can take a blood test, but the urine is about as accurate other than the blood gives you an exact number. It's not likely, but entirely possible that you're pregnant. Congratulations on the baby boy!

If you're feeling nauseous, you should be able to test now. Because morning sickness doesn't usually start before you can take the test (at least for me).
I don't think it's very likely that you're pregnant, since you're nursing, and he's still so young. Usually that happens after a few months, after your period has returned (although it doesn't have to return for you to get pregnant).
By the way, I started on BC pills when my second son was little, and it dried up my milk a bit. I only discovered this when he was extra cranky, then at his next well-baby appointment, he hadn't gained any weight. I stopped the pills and he suddenly was happy again, and instantly grew out of all his clothes. So watch out for that!

I would think about 3-4 weeks after you were together, you could test. :)
