I have dark hair and am wondering if I should use ammonia free hair dye or not? I have a lot of grey. Any thoughts/experience?

What can I do next?

I have dark brown hair with a lot of grey. I use Light Mountain henna (plain red), and it turns my hair auburn with copper highlights.

I use henna (body art quality is best - it's very smooth and rinses out easily).
I get a great auburn and my grey comes out as coppery highlights.
If red is not your thing you can use henna plus indigo to get varying shades of brown.

I have very dark brown hair and I use Nice N Easy, which is only $7/box. It's works fine on my hair.

My hair is long and fine, and it does tend to get dry, so I've gone to washing every other day to keep it healthy.

I have a lot of grey.. and use naturtint.. comes in all shades and covers grey well.. mind you, you do need to leave it on a bit longer.. but it's a little more gentle on the hair than the stronger stuff. whole foods was having a sale at 13.99 a box.. normally its around 17
