My daughter will be 9 months on the 15th and I swear she has been teething for at least the last 2 or 3 months. You can see the bottom teeth in her gums, but the little suckers just won't pop through. Is there anything that can be done to encourage them to come through or is really just a hurry up and wait kind of thing? I'm thinking this is why mommy and daughter have been up several times during the night for the past few months and mommy likes several solid hours of sleep..
My son's started coming at 5-6 months so she just could be an early one. Things that saved me:
Frozen washclothes for them to chew on, piggy back tylenol and IBuprofen when she is really bad and try some Hyland's Teething Tablets (usually found in pharmacy's). The tablets are homeopathic but work great. Good luck and bear with it-it probably won't stop for a while once it starts.

It sounds very normal to me. My son is 15 months old and I swear he has been teething non stop since 6months. Try giving her a tooth brush to chew on this sometimes helps the teeth come throuh or you can use a wash cloth, get a corner of it wet and partly freeze it and let her chew on that. Otherwise as far as I know you just have to wait it out. I know what you are going through. Good Luck.
no magic solution for the teeth.. My daughter also has teeth that seem to take forever to erupt. and then it takes another forever for them to come all the way out..
There is a wide variation on the age when teeth come in - and it is all completely normal...
Just be patient..
my son is 15 months and has a mouth full of teeth and still more are on there way out. We freeze wet wash cloths to make the pain lessen alittle and just recently gave him a tooth brush to chew on and thats doing wonders for him.
I don't think there is really anything you can do to "hurry the growth of teeth", but you can help your daughter's pain in her mouth by putting some orajel on the tip of your pinky finger and rubbing it softly on the gums....this will especially helper sleep through the night. If at very least she might wake up in the night because she is hungry. LOL! Good luck!
P.S.: If it keep up to her 9 month mark then I would take her to the dentist just to be sure nothing is wrong.
I think it's very normal, My son didn't get his first teeth until he was 10 months old, and they seem to be coming in very slow, he's now 15 montsh and only has 7 teeth (the 4th bottom tooth just won't pop through, He is now getting his molors. Those I hear can be verytough on eth kids, high fevers, ear aches, my son who is a happy go lucky baby, has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming.

my daughter doc told me to take a popcile stick a press on the gum or rub it across the gum to break the skin . so they will come down and stay good luck hope you get some sleep tonite
Im sure shes chewing on anything she can get to her mouth, but you should let her chew on your finger and apply some extra pressure and rub on them to help those buggers get through. I have also been told that using orajel or any numbing stuff can make it harder for the teeth to come through, makes the gums harder. Good luck

my oldest son did the same thing. once he hit 9 months though his first tooth came through. after that it was 1 tooth at a time, 1 right after another until he had six teeth.
so it shouldn't be long now for your daughter to get her first tooth or teeth. happy snoozing!!!
My friend went through the same thing. She gave her son a sucker and he rubbed and gnawed on the thing and it helped to wear down the gum enough for the teeth to break through. There are suckers out there that are actually not that bad for you (sugar free, vitamin c pops)or you could give him a frozen teether. I also suggest somehing called teething tablets. The are an all natural soother for the swollen gums and irritability. You can pick them up anywhere you can find orajel. I have actually started using these again with my 20 month old (he is getting his last set of molars). These may be just the ticket to help your little one get more sleep at night, (and you too)!
Hi S. - we are going through the same thing right now w/our 4 mos. old!! She's been teething for a little over a month now - which I thought was pretty early. I even took her to the dr. thinking there was something wrong w/her! He said its teeth though and, after a month, we are still waiting for the darn thing to come in!! I feel so bad for her : (
I did buy Gerber Teething Biscuits for her this weekend, and she LOVED them!! It kept her very happy and maybe even took her mind of the pain!

My doctor told me to give her a dose of ibuprofen before bed. It lasts 6-8 hours and will help her sleep.
