I'm interested in starting my daughter in Wiggleworms at the Old Town School, and I've heard that some teachers are a lot better than others - to the point of impacting whether or not the kids and parents like the program. In hopes of having the best experience possible, I'd love to learn which teachers other parents like the best. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Hi M.-
You're right there are some teachers who are really so terrible it's not worth it. I've taken my chidren to wiggleworms for 4+ years and I'd highly, highly recommend Shanna and Karen. Good luck!

My daughter started wiggleworms at Old Towne School of Music on Lincoln at 6 months old. We take a class with Stacy at noon on Sundays. Stacy is great! My daughter LOVES the class.

Good luck, but remember, you'll never get those dorky songs out of your head "I love my little hat, my little hat loves me..."

We had Julie and everyone said she is the best. My son did really like her.

I have an eight-month old daughter and we really like her teacher, Ann Toralba. We just signed up for our second session with her. She is very laid back, but clearly loves the kids. The classes can be a little chaotic because she encourages the kids to experience the music and activity in their own way. We love it that way and wouldn't have it any other, but picture 10 kids between 1 and 2 'experiencing the music'. They have a great time and you can clearly see how much they're learning.

The other teacher I've seen is Maryann Johnson. She is very sweet and very soothing, but I felt a little guilty with my little girl running around, dancing and being crazy. Her class seemed more structured, but still interactive and fun.

Hi M.,

I signed my son up for two different classes back when he was 6 -12 months. The first teacher I had was Susana and I liked her at first, but she seemed to get tired towards the end and would yawn a lot. Needless to say, it dragged towards the end and I wasn't very happy with her. We had a substitute for 2 classes and he was wonderful! The bad news is I forgot his name, but other moms said he was the best. I can't remember the name of the other teacher..I looked on the website and I don't think she's there anymore. She was nice though.

I know the moms in Susan's class were also unhappy with her, at least you'll know that she's not a good choice.

Good luck.

I really like Tisa. She teaches at the Lincoln Avenue location, but she may teach at other locations too.

Hi M.,

Our teacher is John Storms-Rohm and we really like him. He is the only teacher we have had there but he seems energetic and the kids seem to enjoy it.

Hope this helps.
