Double Stroller Recommendation for Tall Kids

I'm in the market for a side by side double stroller. The problem we're running into is that my daughter is tall for her age, 36" and her head either hits the canopy or is very close to the canopy in most strollers. Do you have a recommendation for a sturdy side by side double that can fit taller kids, hopefully even with a little room to grow? Thank you for your help.

Thank you all for your responses. We decided on the Valco and found a good price on Ebay. The kids look very comfy in it.

Not that I'm trying to talk you out of the side by side, but most people I know who have them, hate them. Their to wide to fit through most doorways (even at the mall). When shopping you won't fit between the racks or even some isles. I have the front to back Sit and Stand from One Step Ahead and I love it. My son is 5 and still uses it.

I'm not sure how tall the stroller is, but I've heard great things about the City Mini. I've gotten the single for my son, but I asked a few parents that I saw using the double about their opinions, and everyone said they loved it.

It's light, folds easily, and wheels around easily too.

what about a jogging stroller... they seem a lot bigger.. Also you'll notice that as your 5 yr. old goest to school.. she won't want to be in a stroller..

I love the Bob Revolution Duallie. It's comfortable, awesome for running/walking, and no problem at the mall. My husband was skeptical about the price, but after we got it was totally on board! My boys are almost 3 and almost 1, and it's great! Can't recommend it enough!

I, too, have a 36" 2 year old (plus a 6 week old!) and agonised over the side by side stroller. We ended up with the City Classic which is much taller than the citymini. We live in NYC and walk a lot so it works great for us (although must admit have not attempted the foodmarket yet) Very comfortable and spacious for both kids but the drawback is that whilst it is very light to push (thanks to great steering and pneumatic tires) it is too heavy to fold and put in the car.

As i was once told, no such thing as the perfect stroller......

One of our nearly 3-year-old twins is over 40 inches tall, and she is still very comfortable in our Mountain Buggy Urban Double Stroller. It's a side-by-side that is narrow enough to fit through standard doorways and it steers easily. Drawbacks are that it is heavy and bulky to fold, but all in all, we've been happy with it. Out of curiosity, I just Googled it and found it for an amazing price here:

Good luck!
