I am curious to know if you, as Moms, make time to go out with your friends? (without husband or kids in tow)If so, how often do you make time to do this?

What can I do next?

I make a point to have alone time or spend time with my girlfriends! You have to!

It's tempting to take my daughter with me to run errands on the weekends just to avoid hearing my husband complain and/or because I don't like to give up any alone time I have with her (I watch 2 other children during the week), but when I do have the "privilege" of going to the grocery store or Target alone, I find myself in heaven!! Roaming the aisles actually price-comparing and browsing. Such a simple joy!

As far as hanging out with my girlfriends, I'd say I try to have atleast a lunch with a friend once a week or every two weeks. I have 2 friends that I meet with for drinks at Tijuana Flats -- we try to meet once a month at the least.

So yes, I do make sure to make time for myself. I never feel guilty about doing this because I know my hubby gets time for himself and, more importantly, it's great for him to have alone time with my daughter.

I do get out of the house without husband or children every week. I go to a women's bible study. It is a time for us to eat, laugh, network, relax, chat, and learn. I love it. That time away to regroup is very necessary and rewarding. My boys like it because other children come over and they have fun with the babysitter!

My older sister is one of my best friends, so whenever I have a weekend off we made sure to make plans to hang out together. Like today we are going shopping and then we are going to the park to take some pictures so she can paint them later :)

I think it's okay to have your alone time.

Hi R.!
I really do try to get out without the fam at least once a month and sometimes even that seems to hard. But when I do finally make it out with my friends I love it! Except when I'm with my childless friends and then I feel like an old lady :-)

My girlfriends and my new year's resolution was to implement a girls night out once a month. We have planned one night a month at a different person's house each month through the month of April. This way it is on our schedules and we make sure we see each other. I also am part of a Bunco group that meets once a month. Hope this helps.
