Could This Be Something Other than Pregnancy, & If So What?

I got my period on time, on December 24. it lasted for 4 days, which is normal. 2 weeks later I started what mirrored a normal period, minus cramps and such ( so it was just bleeding). since then, I've been experiencing a heavy, tingling feeling in my lower abdomen, along with some pulling/tugging feeling off to the left side. I've had 3 miscarriages since I was 19 years old, and 1 successful pregnancy. My son is almost 19 months old, so I am not a rookie in the "possible pregnancy symptoms" department. My question is, could my ailments be something other than pregnancy, and if so, what? Thanks so much in advanced!!

So What Happened?

I havent taken one yet. With my history, i like to wait until i've actually missed my period, on the off chance that it's a chemical pregnancy- i just dont want to know, and would rather assume i'm just late. it may sound crazy, but with each miscarriage they get harder for me to handle emotionally.
I also had a brief moment of nausea this morning, but wondered if I was just hungry? still just trying to write it off as something else...
yes, my periods are normally regular, 1 period a month, 28 days a part.
no fibroids. i was set to be checked for endometriosis when i came up pregnant the 4th time. and because of my history my doctor felt it was best to leave things well alone. he and i havent visited the topic since, as i havent had the symptoms as before. i've read where pregnancy can "cure" endometriosis?? not sure if that's an across the board fact or not...

Are your periods normally regular (as in one time per month) and on time? If so, the extra bleeding could be a sign of pregnancy. I had the pulling/tugging on the left side when I was first pregnant with my third. That was one of the symptoms that prompted me to take the test. I can't think of what else it could be. If it continues and your pregnancy test is negative, you should make an appt to see your GYN. Good luck!

Ovarian cysts can give you these symptoms.

You did not mention whether or not you have been previously checked for other abnormalities, i.e. fibroids, endometriosis, etc. All of these can contribute to miscarriage and can cause these types of symptoms.

Also ectopic pregnancy could be another possibility. It usually causes a faint positive pregnancy test. If you feel any sharp pains, you should get it checked out.
