Combined Party

I live in Haverhill and am considering combining my kids birthday parties. My son will be 4 and daughter 1. His birthday is Nov 10 and hers is Jan 4, so you can see it's the beginning of the holidays to the end of the holidays. I was thinking that having one event would be easier for people to attend during this busy time of year and it would save me some money by having it at once. My question is I have no idea where to have it(restaraunt/function hall) or if the idea is really bad. My son is really into parties and I would have games set up to do. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I think I'l do them seperately it was just a thought. I think I'll have a party for my son somewhere and then combine a new years day party with my daughters first birthday at home. My parents live over an hour away and in laws live just under an hour away.

How about a location like Imagine That in Methuen, MA? They are an indoor playground. I know someone that had their kids' combined party there (I think the boy turned 5 in Nov/Dec and the girl turned 2 in Jan... so it's very similar to what you are doing). The kids had a lot of fun, and it was convenient to only have one party to attend during the busy holidays. I say go for it!

A combined party is a great idea. I would just advise that as they get older you do a separte party for each maybe with their friends. My brother and I are 11 days apart and we always had parties together with family but separate ones with friends.

Hi P.

This is just my opinion. I think with the age range of your children, I wouldnt do it for right now. It will be hard to design a party for 4yr old boys while keeping in mind little 1 yr old girls. Do you mean just for a family party or will he have friends that come too? Her 1st party has to be her own. Pump it Up or Chuckys would of been great, but for a 1yr old I would say not. I have always done big family parties for my kids til they are 5. When they are in school and have more friends, then I do a big friend party and a small family party. I would do them separate, her's isnt til after the holidays anyway. If the cost is the issue just try and scale it back. Your daughters party could just be pizza and cake at the house, she really wont care!! Let us know what you decide, the idea could help all of us!!

Hi there! I also have 2 children (boys 7&2) and i would never combine their parties. At my house birthdays are big celebrations and because they are so far apart in age I could never get away with it! I do think that you will be able to do it this year because your little one is still so little, but keep in mind your son might not like it! It does not matter where you have the party, just as long as everyone has a good time!

Chuck e cheese is the most affordable place.. Bonkers, PUmp it Up, Putnam Pantry, check out that Cedar Point place (never been there not sure if it's good for little ones), just call around and ask if they do parties!

Hi P.!!Im going to be honest,I wouldnt want to do that,I think your daughter should have her day, turning one is a BIG milestone,(to me anyway)she should get to shine!!Their birthdays arnt in the same month so I dont think your asking much to have 2 parties.Your son also probaly wants to be a big boy and have his day too.I hope your not offended,I just think they are 2 differant kids and deserve their own party(you could keep it small and simple)But whatever you deside im sure will be fun!!Hope I have helped you!!Take care!!
