I'm going to use cloth training pants for training my son, no Pull-ups. I'm checking out the various brands online like Potty Scotty, Dappi's, Gerber, etc., and I can't remember what i used in the past, it's been awhile. So, I would truly appreciate your experience and tips on brands you like & why, sizing, if they run big, small or true to size, and which ones work best for nighttime use. Brands of waterproof pants you have knowledge of would be helpful as well : )

Thank you, mamas

I LOVE Potty Scotty's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got mine from E-bay. A 12 pack.
LOVE it.

My son is 4, about 50 pounds and he wears the size "xxlg."
I still use these on him even if he is potty trained, because it still fits him and he loves it. And, it wicks up any 'leaks' that he may have.

Potty Scotty's also has the waterproof versions too.
Just look online, at Amazon you can read the reviews of it.

Oh yes, also get waterproof bed pads.
But, keep in mind, that night time/nap time dryness, is not something BIOLOGICALLY attained, until even 7 years old.
And this is normal. It is different than daytime toileting. It is about the body's physiological development/brain connections/and nerve development.

My son is 4, wears a diaper for naps and sleep. It is fine. He does NOT get confused. I just tell him that his body is not ready for being dry at night.
And I ALWAYS put a waterproof bed pad, under him at sleep.
Its fine.

I bought some underwear at Target that was in the infant section and was slightly padded. It helped control the messes a little, but it still would come out a little. We pretty much put my son in those for a few days, and then just moved to normal underwear. There were accidents, but there always are. I never used pull ups, and we moved from cloth diapers to the underwear. It was really simple for us, he was potty trained at 2 and a half, and I think it was because we just moved to the underwear and dealt with the few accidents he had. It has now been about 3 months, and he rarely has accidents (we have been traveling for almost a month, and the three he has had I think were stress related).

Gerber trainers are fine. They are cheap $6 for 3 pair at walmart. I have only seen size 2 and size 3. but my 4 year old son still fits in size 3,

most kids ony wear the trainers for a short while. I wouldnt spedn a lot of money on the trainers.. as they quickly move on to the cool underwear with characters on them.

Super Undies are great for nighttime because they have a waterproof layer to keep the sheets dry.

Blueberry trainers are fabulous for daytime.

Each brand has their own website, just google them!

I had some Potty Scotty ones and they were nice and thick but ran small and didn't fit my big for his age son (even the XXL). If you do disposables at night Goodnight are very absorbant, far better than even overnight Pull ups.

Go check out cloth diapering review sites and check out the training pant reviews. Good Luck. Diaperpin.com is a good one.
