One of my daughter's classmates is having a birthday party that will also tie into the Chinese New Year. What could be something traditional for the New Year that I can add to his gift (4 years old) to celebrate the two events?

You already have a great starting point...don't forget the paper wrapped candy...in the red and green box (down all super market oriental section isles')have you had it? I'm sure most of us have, the wax? type paper melts in your mouth...yummy!
