HI Mommas! Im looking for feedback from women who have any kind of breast surgery (lift, augmentation) or tummy tuck post partum (Mommy Makeover), especially if you are in the Philadelphia area. Im finished reproducing and Id like to put things back where they used to be. This is not a self esteem issue by any means, so please no criticism. Ive always been very healthy and fit, but right now, theres only so much healthy eating and working out can do! Im thinking of a tuck and a breast lift, but I think Ill need an implant as well - I have some asymmetry that needs to be addressed. Are their any Mommas that have any kind of breast/t.t. surgery who can help advise?? Any doctor recommendations in the Philadelphia area?? Thanks in advance!!

I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair last November.
Best. Decision. Ever.

I would suggest looking for a surgeon that uses progressive tension sutures, instead of the old technique of drains for 10+ days post surgery. I had virtually no swelling - ever. I never experienced the "swell hell" that you'll hear about from others, and my surgeon (who's been a PS for 30+ years) would tell you that the progressive technique is why.

I can tell you that my recovery was 3 days of discomfort, and then I felt normal again. I was unable (didn't) lift anything over 10lbs for 6 weeks. That was hard, since I felt normal, but I considered it "protecting my investment". :)
We used Care Credit to "finance" the surgery, and all total, our bill was $10K with tummy tuck, and some lipo on my upper arms.

Not sure if you've had a C-section, but if so, the recovery is very, very similar.

Feel free to PM me if you have questions.
I would do it all over again in a heart beat!

I haven't had anything but i'm going to ask about breast reduction/lift.My back pain is really kicking my butt and the harder I fight it the more it'll last and becomes aggressively painful.I'm a breastfeeding mama so not sure how soon I can get things moving but am really considering it mama is in pain from so many things.I have ruled out alot of medical illnesses as well.I wouldn't of ever thought of it till all my appts several days a week with my DRs therapist chiropractor.Good for you in taking care of yourself it is hard to do and sometimes we need to go under the knife

My sister-in-law had both done last year after having five kids. She looks great! It's very subtle and I never would have known if she didn't tell me. (She was only 1-2 months in recuperation) Hey, if you've got the money and someone to help you take care of the kids while you recuperate, go for it!
