Hi Ladies! After having my second child my bras have not fit right and been uncomfortable so I want yesterday and got measured and they put me in the next size up. I went to Victoria's Secret, I have not yet found any place else where I can find good bras that I really like. I'm a 34DD so I need something that gives me good support and is comfortable! I work 2 jobs which both leave me on my feet for hrs so it's important to get something I will love. I only bought 1 in my new size so far because I want to make sure I get something I am going to like before spending to much.

What's your favorite Bra!?

Nothing from VS. I found years ago that they are over priced and under-quality. I vary between a 34D and a 36 C (depending on weight fluctuations, my cup sizes and chest sizes change too). Nothing from VS ever held up very long. Maybe their quality has changed in the 20 years that have passed since I last bought my bras there.
But I now tend to go with Vanity Fair or Maidenform and have found they hold up pretty well. My latest fave is the "barely there" line. No wires. :)

At this point, the only one that seems to give enough support is Playtex. Not so pretty, but Jane Russell was right. She probably didn't have any other choice, either.

I'd recommend getting measured at a boutique or finding instructions on how to do it on your own (www.breakoutbras.com). Victoria's secret has very limited sizing so they adjust your true size so that it will fit into one of their bras (i.e. they don't have smaller band sizes or larger cup sizes).

I got fitted at a bra boutique. If what the other ladies are saying is true, this might be your best bet for obtaining your true size, as they carry all of them. I have really dense and heavy breasts and have never been able to wear the cheaper bras. Mine need to be built by Boeing.

I wore 34DD for a while, and I knew where my drawer was at VS. Your breast type and desired coverage will determine which bras will work for you. I could not wear the shelf bras, because I am a FULL cup. I always need full coverage. Don't be discouraged if every bra in "your size" doesn't work for you. I am now 34H/I, and I buy my bras online at bareessentials.com. They can be pricey, but they are keepers, and they have good sales. You can call them (or chat online, I think) if you have questions about any product.

Good luck. Having a good bra really makes a difference in how you feel when you go out into the world.

I get mine from Arie. I have found over the years that VS's quality has gone WAY down. I had bought one from them and with in a couple months the wire was poking through and scratching me and the glue on the seams came undone (I wash them on gentle and air dry them, never put it in the dryer). This has happened to a few of their bras. The quality from Arie is so much better because they are sewn and not glued so they don't come undone and fall apart. They are also a lot cheaper and they have sales a lot too. I don't know if they carry your size though. I'm only a 36B, but you should check them out if you can

I have been to MANY bra, bridal, and specialty shops. I was measured at one of them as a 42DD and I told the lady that wouldn't fit. She brought 5 different bras by 5 different companies and they were all to big around the back and too small in the cup. I stumbled upon Lady Grace on line and found a bra I liked that fit, but then they discontinued it.
I saw a review on Amazon from a lady who recommended HerRoom.com because they had a unique quiz that helped you find the RIGHT bra, not just a bra that 'fits'.
I now LOVE HerRoom! The prices are a bit steap, but you can usually find the same bra somewhere else for less. (I used amazon) I not only know to look for bras with side support, three section cups, wires that "triangle" between my breasts and centered straps for proper lift for me.
The quiz they have is called "know your breast bra finder". I also discovered my "international size" and now that I have lost 40 lbs, I find that I have to go UP a cup letter when I go down in band size becauses the dang things arent shrinking with the rest of me!

EDIT: as for my favorite it's the Goddess Kiera bra. It has all of the things I need in a bra and the price is excellent! Of course, if you take the quiz you may find an entirely different bra than anyone has suggested, but would be the perfect ONE for you!
EXTRA EDIT: FYI -I now wear a 38J in Goddess and a 38(6G) in international- NOT easy to find or fit. And my bra not only holds me UP, it is comfortable. No poking, no binding, no spillage, no gaps under the wire. The perfect bra (for me)

VS and some other department stores only stock a limited array of bras, so if you are fitted with them, they may fit you *for what they stock* and often (from my experience) ,not your actual size.

I like the Wacoal bras. I find that if you get one in a correct size, they're very comfortable. I actually went to a more old-fashioned lingerie/women's foundation wear shop and was fitted there. The department stores usually only stock to the DD size; I'm actually a G, and a shorter band than the department store had previously put me in (they will give a larger band size to accommodate the not-large-enough cup size to match it up that way. This is why some 'fitted' bras fit terribly.) Once I had the correct bra on, I actually looked like I lost weight.

Some people have suggested Nordstrom, too. I'm not sure if/what they carry beyond a DD; that seems to be the cut-off for most department stores.

I love the Lane Bryant/Cacique bras. I wear the cotton no wire bras and they offer great support without being uncomfortable. This is the only bra I've found that I can wear all day and not be dying to rip it off as soon as I get home.

I wish I had a favorite! In my experience Bras are to be tolerated.

Yes, some are better than others, but I have tried the pricey ones and they weren't any better. Kohl's carries a Warners that I "tolerate." Wired bras hurt me.

May the force be with you in your search

I am a large busted, active woman who needs bras with serious engineering, and I found the Holy Grail of bra-land about 5 years ago. A company called Title Nine makes the best sports bras EVER and many of them can also be worn as a daily wear bra, because they actually provide shape as well as bounce control. They also have a spin-off catalog that specializes in bras called (irreverently) Bounce, that features bras that aren't sports bras. You can call them and talk to a bra expert who will look for a bra based not only on your size but on how full or heavy your bustline is and the type of daily activity you do, and they are very good about returns for fit issues. All that said, they are expensive - I paid around $50 for a good bra from them. But the sports bra I bought from them 5 years ago as a daily wear bra is still good, if a little worn around the edges now. (I machine wash and line dry mine.)

I'm not sure where you got measured, but I went and got measured at a maternity shop and the lady really knew what she was doing. The size she put me in, for the first time, actually fit properly.

I am a 38 DD.

MY problem is not "falling out" of bras...even if I get one that is the "right size", if I lean over, whoops, there I go.

However, I JUST found a bra that I absolutely LOVE...and believe it or not, I found it at WalMart for 12 bucks. I believe the "brand" is called "Sweet Nothings" (in fact, I just had my seven year old look for me, because I don't feel like taking it off to check...and NOW she wants to know what sweet nothings means...yeesh...). The coverage and support on this bra are AWESOME. It is white with pink lace around the top of the cups, but the lace is sewn literally on the cups so it's not itchy or against my skin. I can jump around and bend over and this bra holds it all!!

(I also hate Victoria's Secret for bras. In my experience, they make bras for teeny little teenagers or women with no boobs.)

I just wanted to offer Soma intimates. While I don't have any of their bras, I do have some undies. Pricy, but worth it and I've heard the bras are even better, but I still have some very functional and cute VS that I am holding on to.

I used to be a 34C -- perfect! After two kids, a bit of weight later, and genetics kicking in, I'm a 42H. Yikes. I have found that Anita bras are very supportive and as comfortable as I can find anywhere. I bought one at barenecessities.com and one at the lactation clinic inside my local hospital.

I like Soma brand a lot bette than VS. VS seems so expensive to me for the quality plus you have to deal with all the teens and preteens in there. Some usually does buy one get one every 6 months. Good luck

I'm breast feeding so I'm in nursing bras. But, with that said, I love the bras I have! I am a 36E (orDD as some people call it). I wear the Bravado Allure http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-allure-underwire-n...
They are pretty, comfortable, and give really nice support without hurting and pinching in all the wrong places. I can wear a really nice V or scoop neck and not worry about my whole bra showing.
They are a little pricey, but you can find them on sale. I know they're nursing bras but I seriously would wear this even if I weren't nursing.

I'm a 36 DDDD (or FF)

Chantelle is probably my favorite line (I'm addicted to lace, silk, satin), but I buy rather a lot if others as well.

I get mine from
- Nordstroms (they keep larger & off sizes in back, just ask, and they'll being at loads to your dressing room)
- Zovo (a killer boutique in Seattle)
- Title9 (for underwire sports bras... My 2 favs are Cuz She Says So & Superlace -which is the CuzSheSaysSo in other colors. Like black. Yay!)

VS lost my business forever. i got a defective bra from them and they refused to do anything about it. i don't forgive bad service.
i got measured at lord and taylors and they told me i'm a 40D. and yet the only bras that fit me comfortably are 36 or 38 C. so much for the officials.
i know this makes no sense, but my absolute favorite bras are the cheap sports bras by fruit of the loom. i get 'em in 3-packs. i can afford 'better' bras and have some purty lace underwires for when i'm decked out, but for day-to-day use i always go back to my cheap-Os. i can run, ride, teach or lie on the couch in 'em.
okay, for running anything over a couple of miles i use a really good sports bra.
but for 90% of my life, FotL cheap sports bras!
