We are wanting to take a carribean vacation next summer and would like to go to an all-inclusive resort that also has activities for our kids (3 & 5 then), so dh and I can have some alone time too. Has anyone had a great carribean vacation with their kids in tow? Thanks!

Have you thought about a cruise? My husband, daughter, and I went on a cruise and it was wonderful. My daughter was only 7 months old at the time so we were not able to take advantage of the childcare but we saw the kids on the ship and they looked like they were having a wonderful time. They played dress up, feed the kids, had shows for the kids, etc.. it looked wonderful. The cruise is a very inexpensive vacation, your alchol is not included but we are not big drinkers so that was not a big deal for us at all. I know that Carnival has a 7 day Carribbean cruise out of Galveston on the largest and newest ship Carnival has. This is so great because you can drive, rather than flying with the kiddos, and there is something for the kids to do the whole way there and back. Not to mention plenty of stuff for mom and daddy during the day and night. Good luck planning your trip, it sounds like fun.

Beaches in Turks and Caicos!! My family and I just went and it was awesome. It's all inclusive..and they have Sesame Street characters walking around and tons of activities for the kids. 9 different restaurants to choose from, and ultra nannys to watch your kids if you wanted a night out with your husband. The beach was also very nice - and they have 4 or 5 huge pools..and a pirate ship with water slides. You can check out their website www.beaches.com.
We went to the one in Turks and Caicos because the ride from the airport to the resort was only 15 minutes. The Jamaica one I heard is not as nice, and the ride from the airport is over an hour..

We are going to the Dreams resort in Puerto Vallarta in January with our daughter. My husbands brother and his wife and 2 kids are coming as well, so we will have 3 kiddos (they will be 13-26 months at the time). We've heard great things about this chain for family vacations. Also check out Iberostar (we've been to several before we had kids, but they are great) and Beaches.

We did not take our daughter but we went to Cancun and it was great. If you are looking for vacation packages at pretty good prices we used funjet.com. Have fun

We went to the Beaches Resort in Jamaica. It was all-inclusive and included child care in their kids club. They did all sorts of cool things in the kids club and my kids (4 and almost 2 at the time) looked forward to going to it. Check them out, I would definitely go back to their resort!!
