Think of how many women who quit trying and get pregnant. One friend finally adopted and then almost immediately became pregnant. Others get pregnant while on vacation. But here is what may be most helpful to you. Two of my friends got on a Shaklee nutrition program that included additional B-Complex, a stress vitamin, and had healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Both of these women had had previous miscarriages but they believe it was more their general health than stress. I don't know. I do know that I can give you information about an excellent nutrition program and I will tell everyone that Shaklee has a brand new line of children's vitamins. I don't have a link up on my website now but if you will email me, I will send you information. I Have been a Shaklee Distributor since 1980 and have seen and experienced excellent results of good nutritional supplementation.

Absolutely. Stress is Really, Really, Really BAD for humans!! Especially this whole prolonged lifestyle of Stress. Not to be overly crude, but stress will really f%$& you up on all sorts of levels!

You've got your flight or fight system to trigger when you need to be stressed and it creates a variety of hormonal triggers (among many other cascading systems!!!) Your endocrine system is attached to pretty much every major functioning organ systems, including your ovaries and uterus and placenta when you're pregnant. The human mind is very strong, but one must keep it in communication with the body lest it run away on it's own...

Look up the endocrine system and marvel at the complex paths of your hormones.
It's totally WOW!

I would suggest that you start a high quality prenatal vitamin now. I've had many friends who've said that once they started a high folic acid prenatal vitamin, they were able to conceive quicker. Plus, the vitamin B's will help with stress. Last thought, make sure you're getting enough sleep' that will help with stress management and fertility.

Yes...and other health problems. It all depends on how your body responds to certain types and levels of stress. It's not the same for everybody, so you have to really know yourself and what gets to you.

No, it's not true. My marriage was on the rocks, my husband didn't love me, I was miserably unhappy, but when I asked the doctor if this was all hurting the baby, he said no. The baby is fine, he said. Sure enough, I had a beautiful, healthy baby boy. No defects. I suspect the only way I could hurt the baby would be to eat or drink something wrong.

I suspect the same applies to getting pregnant. You might be stressed, but your body and it's natural processes just keep right on processing.

Good luck!

Stress affects all people differently. However, if you are experiencing stress at such a high level that you fear interference in normal, biological function...you should get some help before even considering getting pregnant.

As suggested in the responses to your last request, you should consider getting a book and learning more about your body and pregnancy. It is a fantastic, stressful, tiring experience and knowledge will help guide you through.

I don't think stress will cause a miscarriage, but I'm honestly not sure. However, I do know that the doctor told my friend that the reason she was not getting pregnant after trying for over a year was that she had too much stress at work. My friend changed jobs and was pregnant within a couple of months.

Stress can put toxins in your body (and does) I heard a tape made by a Christian Nurse & she told what all stress can do to your body, She told of many things stress can do to a person & the many illnesses it can cause because of the poison toxins your body releases because of stress. The story that stuck in my mind was of a lady who had a small infant & the ladies husband abused her often. She breast fed her baby. Her husband had abused her one day & after he beat her up & left the house she was nursing her baby. The toxins in her body from the stress was in her breast milk & the baby died from it. If I had not met this Christian lady & her husband at church & heard them speak, I might not would have believed it, but they are very reputable people. I have the cassette tape somewhere (because it was so informational & did not want to part with it) If you would like a copy if I find it, your welcome to it.

I don't know about miscarriage, but I stressed about not being able to get pregnant and I couldn't. When I finally relaxed and didn't worry about it we got pregnant with our little girl.

not sure about miscarriage- there are so many things that can go wrong there-BUT I do know that after 3 years of trying to get pregnant, taking Chlomid and finally deciding to take 3 or 4 months off before we decided to do in-vitro- I got pregnant (without any fertility treatments) when I started travelling and quit thinking about it. I scheduled 4 or 5 quick out of town trips- w/ friends and/or husband- in a 3 month period- totally took my mind off baby-ing for a bit- and Tada! I did ask my doctor if it could have been all in my head- and he said "I wouldn't touch that question w/ a 10 foot pole!" LOL Since just "relaxing and not thinking about it" is next to impossible- I recommend getting yourself really busy with other stuff and mentally telling youself you are taking a few months off and then you'll try again in the fall. I'm sure you will be bombarded w/ many responses from people that got pregnant after years of trying once they gave up. I also have a very good friend that had that experience after 4 years of many in-vitros and drugs- then she adopted and got pregnant a couple years later....

Last fall, I got certified in HypnoFertility. We learned of many cases where after a few hypnosis sessions, women were able to become pregnant. One of the major outcomes from a hypnosis session is the ablility to relax easier. Please research HypnoFertility on the 'net. I learned from Lyndsi Eastburn. You may contact me personally if you like.
