Help with Sleeping Routine

I have a 6-week-old baby girl. She does a good job sleeping at night once she is really asleep, around 6-7 hours. I am in need of some advice on how to get her into a routine. How long do you let them cry in their crib when you know they are tired?

They are about the same in price, and both organic and free from the standard mattress toxic vinyl, and high quality. I heard coil is much heavier...esp when changing sheets more than once a day. A rubber mattress just seems so out of the norm to me. Does ANYONE have experience with a rubber mattress? Is a coil one too heavy for a bad back?

We have some bumpers, breathable bumpers that collapse very easily. In fact, he kept kicking them down and I had read that he could use them to try and climb out, so we removed them. Should I put them back in? Knowing that they...
