Moody 5 Year Old

Around the time my daughter started school, her moods have changed. She went through the normal naughty and testy phases that all kids go through when she was little but lately my 5 year old reminds me of me when I was a teenager-she is moody as can be, negative, argues for the sake of arguing and all of the sudden everything we say isn't fair or nice and she doesnt like anything (dinners, colors..) that she used to. Seeking Boys' Birthday Party Ideas for November B-day

I'm planning my two sons' (turning 8 & 6) birthday party mid-November. Does anyone have any ideas that are _not expensive_? We have a very small home so we have to "outsource". We've done Chuck E Cheese (ugh!) and Frying Pan Park in the past. I prefer to find something outdoors but need to take unpredictable, and possibly cold, weather into consideration. Frying Pan was great because we were able to be both indoors and out. Thanks!

Travel Without My 5 Year Old

Hi Moms! I've never had this situation before so I need some input. My oldest daughter is getting married in Italy (yay!) and we are not taking the kids. (yay again!) My concern is our 5 year old. We will be gone 9 days and I'm not too sure how to prepare him. Should I be nonchalant in giving him the facts, should we leave little surprises for him to open every few days. I just don't know.
